Some but not all of the gender specific hatred I have come across is because of severe abuse, usually the type that lasted for years. I do not think that the hatred is healthy, IMO it only internalizes the poison from the perp. My ex pretended to be a woman online for a couple of years (using a pic of me, no less). He fell in love with another woman, moved to Georgia to be with her, and apparently she was cool with the wiener because they have a son together. Of course, she figured out - regardless of genitalia - he was a total piece of crap and booted him. But, I understand the huge "NO MEN" comments. I never ever, ever, ever get put upon and harangued by women the way I do by men, not all men, just some men. You try to be polite. You try to be blunt, They still think they are the exception. I have pleasantly reiterated that I am not interested in pursuing relations with people who are more than 50 miles away, but my box is still full of e-mails from Kentucky and Cairo and stuff - and NEVER from a woman - ever. I might go to Cairo if the chick were hot enough.

When I see a profile like that I have to think they are fed up with guys who obviously don't understand the word "lesbian". While I am sure some of them are men pretending to be women, I am also sure a lot of them are not. I can tell them from experience that it won't work and they will still get asshats who write and try to convince you that you really should give them a chance. It doesn't bother me when I read a profile that says "no women" that is their preference and I would rather know that upfront. Why does this bother you so much? Even if they are really men just posing, according to your profile your only seeking men, so what difference does it make to you? You wouldn't be writing to lesbains anyway.

I have the no men sentence in a profile...I still get tons of posts from men, it doesn't really bother me but oi I still think they should respect it that I'm a lesbian... I do wish that men would filter their search using the "sexuality" box but..well they seem not to do that so..I guess I gotta just deal with it[:)] It however doesn't mean I hate men, if I had to choose between a room full of men, and a room full of women I'd actually pick the room that was full of men. However on this site..I can't say I'm actually interested in responding to horny guys over n over n over again that don't respect my limits (don't mind those who contact me to strike up a conversation on a friendly level)

You never heard of Pro-Ana? Have you been living in a cave for the last 10 years? Anyway, I support pro-ana - it is a lifestyle decision and woman can make it if they want to. Plus I find very thin woman to be the very very attractive. I don't like curves at all and I don't understand guys that do. My current girlfriend is barely over hundred pounds and a size double 00. So let's not judge thin woman and say they are unattractive just because you like curvey, fat or an otherwise BBW.
