I think they are awesome!  LOL!  However, it does make checking my email here difficult when there are others
present in the house...ie; my children....eeeek!

Asherdelampyr -> RE: Does this image make you uncomfortable? (3/3/2009 3:20:23 PM)

I checked out the site after seeing the advert
Anerin is right, on each and every demo vid, if you scroll to the end you hear the woman being "molested" talk about how much fun she had
I could be wrong but im guessing real rape victims dont enjoy themselves or tell the cameraman that they cant wait to do it again

so no... Its porn, and more importantly its helping keep this site free which is awesome!

SirandMadam -> RE: Does this image make you uncomfortable? (3/10/2009 12:42:45 PM)

My original post concerned a picture appearing on this site. I did not place it on this forum; it was put there by the mods. What was being questioned was the message given by depicting, in an advertisement on the home page, a form of violence that happens all too often, sometimes with far-reaching effects on its victims. I was hoping to be directed to a source of information on C.M.s official policy, and to obtain opinions about what appears on the home page.

The image was far from being the most hard-core I have seen, and I would not have been a member of this site for a number of years if I was easily shocked, so I do not need to be told this is a bdsm site or whether people in photos or videos are enjoying themselves or how much they are paid.

March 9th was  International Women's Day. The Global United Nations theme for 2009: "Women and men united to end violence against women and girls." On this day, results of a UK government survey were released, revealing that public attitudes towards rape and violence towards women are not always as enlightened as we may wish:

Public disgrace that's just spiced up porn. I am much more concern about this guy I see all the time. A guy nailed to a cross, hanging even in places where children are present. And I am led to believe it's wasn't even consensual. Public encouragement to NAIL play?

Nope the advertisement doesn't make me uncomfortable. I did go to the site to check it out once and realized that it was definitely NOT my cup of tea. It was just too much for me. Emotionally i would never be able to handle that type of public disgrace. However, to someone else it might just be the perfect wanking material or fantasy.

FR-

Honestly, I don't even notice them unless something colorful pops up (literally). I noticed an ad for, what was it called? It was for injecting lube into one's ass, and it was a pretty shade of red. Other than that, I just ignore them.

Dear OP.  I modified your post to talk about what REALLY is offensive:

I am not sure which forum this belongs in, so I am posting it here as I don't usually contribute to forums, but I am wondering what the CNN policy is on what advertisments are considered acceptable. Did anyone else open the CNN login page today and find themselves shocked by the advertisement for a political party called "Republicans", showing a basically decent nation  apparently being forcefully lied to and molested by Bobby Jindal and others? I am not in favour of censorship in general but this appears to be depicting, and possibly encouraging, what appears to be a traumatic assault on an unwilling 240 Million people.

THAT I find offensive.  Play-acting of D/s and related scenes, filmed for others' enjoyment?  Not so much.

I'm jest sayin'

E.

To the OP, no I still don't find the ads offensive.

Now the posters who can't pass a post with out making a jab at the left or right are obnoxious as hell, but they don't offend me either. I figure they can't help themselves and feel sorry for them.

I don't pay attention to the links...most of them here have lots of bad stuff connected to them and if you don't have really good spyware, you are screwed.

I always preferred Insex. Real traumatic assaults on unwilling third parties always trump depictions.

Nope.

My lifestyle is an insult to the lifestyle.

I hate the community.  The community hates me.

You got to wonder why God hasn't rocked this joint with about a 7.0'er?....Pat Robertson would finally be correct when he proclaims, "they deserved it."

DemonKia -> RE: Does this image make you uncomfortable? (1/25/2010 7:16:01 PM)

Hell, all this necro-thread molestication oughta have that god critter pushing all kinds of buttons of nasty . .. . lol

& what a dumb fucking thread to resurrect -- why do zombies have to be morons? Huh?

Paraphrases OP: 'OMG there are ads featuring depictions of rape & violence on a kink social-networking site!! Everybody, up in arms!!! Don't you know that somewhere real rape is happening, how can anyone play-act it for porn!?!?!'

Sheeeeeeeesh . . . . . & from people with many years in the scene makes it even more goofball . . . . . . ~walks away shaking head~
