Makes me wonder what the attraction is to meet men who will go have the same experience with any other woman who will invite them over the following weeks after they see me. Maybe in a sense it's a good thing I have requirements so I go through fewer of those experiences.

You mentioned that your friends don't expect much beyond a man with a pulse. That is their first issue. There are enough dominant men out there that women can (and should) be selective. Granted the good ones are few and far between, but why have such low standards? If the only thing I could find attractive about a man was the fact that he had a pulse I wouldn't even bother sending him a message.
