Taken the time to actaully go though some of those girly magazines and read what they have to say on sex and pleasing a partner? What brings this on? Well after looking though the latest edition of cosmopolitan magazine, it got me to thinking. So much of the mag is vanilla, yet it does give some kinky ideas for one to do with their partner (normaly male). Now I have been reading issues of Cosmopolitan for about 7 years now on and off, and well I can say that some of the things that I do to please my Master in many respects I first read about in the mag many years ago, and tried out. Not all worked, but more then enough of them have become part of things in a fashion, which I know Master finds pleasurable, and I enjoy doing since I know he likes what I'm doing. So what I'm wondering from other subs/slaves is, do you get these types of magazines and actaully try out some of the suggestions if your dominant is up for it? And if so how has the responces been?

I get an online newletter called called "Great Sexpectations" which is free and often has wonderful ideas. It comes out twice a week. Some issues have the "sex postion of the month", others have advice on various topics and then others are "readers' comments". There hasn't been a lot on bdsm play except mention of role playing, spankings and a few other things to spice things up. Also subscribing to it hasn't generated a lot of spam or popups. Ideas come from all over the place. It's what you do with them that counts. Adapt them to suit your own style and needs. I've read Cosmo now and then. I think they are kinky but prefer to stay on the safe edge. Some of their suggestions sound kinked down to me.

I stopped reading Cosmopolitan and Cleo a few years ago, mostly because they weren't teaching me anything new. The Australian magazines do use kink suggestions to spice your love life up, mentioning role play, bondage, candles, feathers, fantasies, etc. But those magazines don't really help me much, I know how to communicate, I know what I like in bed, and I'm not going to become a fashion victim.

Here's their subscription link: Great Sexspectations I also subscribe to GS - ummm, actually it comes out 3 times a week - monday, wednesday, and friday (usually - they have been known to miss an issue here and there) - the friday edition is dedicated to readers comments - and I will agree that subscribing doesn't subject one to more spam and popups

Sure, I used to read Cosmo all the time. But after a while they got to the point where they were repeating things they had already suggested or that I already knew. So I don't read it as much now. I love to learn new things. Yes I have tried some of the things they have suggested. I mean what the heck? You don't know unless you try. [:)] Responses have varied of course.
