I am thinking that never ever have I had this desperate urge to reach out through the screen and poke somebody, it really is a strange feeling.

I'm thinking that....... Randy Quaid and his wife are kinda bizarre.

..................that my brother coming to stay with me, because he and his wife are fighting, is a suckified idea.

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/10/2009 9:02:42 AM)

I'm thinking my ex-husband is a dingbat.  I asked him for a check to pay for something related to the kids, and he gave it to me this morning.  It was the amount I asked for plus a penny.  He laughs his goofy ass off, saying, "See, I went above and beyond... I even gave you extra."  [:D]

All I could manage was a cyber thump on his head and a "blink-blink" stare as he laughed himself silly.

Weird man...  at least we get along well.

Kalista07 -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/10/2009 9:04:11 AM)

i'm thinking that it is very wrong of Red to not take responsibility for her and Trappy for possessing my body and making me behave poorly ast night and doing things i never in my right mind would have done to Him.

Kali

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/10/2009 9:13:20 AM)

I think that it's a shame that Kali won't take a proper personal inventory and see where this blame-shifting is getting her no where fast.  She did a really bad thing, that I'm sure hasn't been properly atoned for, and her Sir is secretly lulling her into a false sense of security that he will eventually forget her indiscretion, but that never happens because they never forget these infractions...  and I would have strongly advised against her offending behavior in the instant case, but she won't hear it.  I take no responsibility in your badassery.

Signed,
TeflonRed

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/10/2009 12:14:58 PM)

On a more serious note...

I'm thinking that I may not have given my siblings credit for being decent and understanding.  My Dad just talked to one of my sisters and told her of his plans to move within the next week or two and she, like one of my other sisters, was excited for him.  He made it known that it was his decision, that I have helped him get all the paperwork done, and that he is going to have a brand new, spiffy bachelor pad.  (the first time in nearly 85 years that he will be living on his own!)  He also told her that this was in no way a reflection on me, the Things, or anyone else... simply that the time had come, it seemed like the right thing to do, and that he was excited about this new chapter in his life.  He will be telling one of my brothers later today, and I'm sure he will be very accepting of this news as well.

I have just been waiting for them to tell me that I have failed Dad in some way, that I have done something wrong, or that it reflected badly on my ability to take care of him.  In all actuality, he is just getting bored, wants to live closer to his friends, and wants to be more independent.  I'm still stunned because I feel like I need to hover over him and make sure every little thing is fine.  He has to tell me sometimes, "Honey, I appreciate it, but leave me be.  I'm not ready for the old folks home yet, I can do for myself."

See?  What the heck do I know...  [8|]

I'm thinking that the family of the fallen soldier from my area must be proud of their beautiful, young son.  He did his job as a soldier, served his country, and unfortunately paid the ultimate price.  The motorcade that took his flag-draped coffin to the funeral home was well-attended, and there wasn't a dry eye to be seen.  The Scouts (from Cub to the big boys) were in their uniforms, carrying the flag, standing at the side of the road.  It's a terrible price that we often pay to live in a country where freedom reigns supreme, but for those who choose to actively defend our nation and our liberties, I salute you.

God bless you, young soldier... Rest In Peace.

i'm thinking Red is thinking too much today.....
i'm thinking i may be going a wee bit over the edge because i do not want Him to turn on the heat...And now that He has i refuse to tell Him i am still cold...
Yeah....i am ready to go to the crazy farm now...

My sympathy to the family, friends, and community, Red.

i'm thinking that young men have been giving the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom through out the history of our great country.  i just read an article in today's Sunday paper that reported the reburial of a Soldier whose remains were found on a battlefield.  Construction workers found the shallow grave.  A group of descendents of soldiers who fought on both sides in the War Between the States paid tribute.

I'm thinking that I am a Mother of sons, and though none of them chose the military, still.. there but for the grace of the Divine go I..

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 7:32:44 AM)

I am thinking Kali needs a parka or something.
I'm also thinking I need to find a picky-up-truck to haul the couch I'm getting from this lady to my place this afternoon.  My neighbor isn't going to be home, and now I'm a bit screwed.  I wonder if I wear a low-cut shit, bat my eyes, and giggle, if I can find some poor man to help a girl out.
*crap*

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 7:39:05 AM)

I agree, fluffy and GI, people who do not appreciate what we have in this country - worse, take it for granted - will never understand.  I have lived overseas, where people's freedoms were nothing like what we have here.  It's an eye-opener.  I always say that before you gripe and complain too much about the US, a giant crane should come out of the sky and pick you up and drop you in a third world country where liberties are few and trash-talking your country will get you imprisoned or worse.  Then, and only then, will some people realize what they have in this land.

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 7:44:04 AM)

I'm thinking it's time for war to stop so that men and women can stop paying the ultimate sacrifice.....my best to the family and friends of that young soldier Red *salutes in his honor*

Daddysredhead -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 7:47:44 AM)

Agreed, zephyr.  It's the price we pay or those who take that oath to defend this nation.  Being from a military family, I see things differently than some may, but at the end of the day... it was still a young man, doing his duty, and it's still a local family who is missing their baby boy.

girlygurl -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 9:32:44 AM)

I'm thinking I should have stayed in the hospital on the good drugs! OMG the painnnnnnn!!!!!!

The surgery went well, now recovery. My Sir was so sweet coming to visit, bringing me a stuffed animal (bear in a ballerina outfit) I named her Isabella. He's been very attentive since I've been home, but I'm really thinking this pain is going to kill me!!!!!!!

fluffypet61 -> RE: What are you thinking? (10/11/2009 9:43:45 AM)

Sorry to hear about the pain, girly.
