i have a question for anyone that has had or knows of someone who has had a breast lift or sugery, where the surgery has changed the form of your breasts. i would greatly appreciate any responses. After having breast surgery, did you loose sensation in any part of your breasts, are you still able to play (as in breast bondage), or is it more painful than before the surgery, or perhaps less painful, do you still have the same feelings you did before the surgery, or was there nerve damage? tia

[:D] Back in Dec '07, she went down from an H-cup to a D-cup. It was a pretty big surgery, and one that took us both quite a while to adjust to. Unfortunately, because of the amount of tissue that had to be removed, she completely lost all touch sensitivity in one nipple and most of the sensitivity in the other, in addition to losing a great deal, if not all, of the feeling in the lower halves of her breasts.

I have investigated this surgery several times during my life. While money is the primary road block, the possible loss of physical sensation and scarring is also an issue. My primary issue, is to re-perkify them, before they get gross looking (to me). There is a mixed bag of results, some of which are still not the perky tata's I would like. Not to mention, the scars can be pretty unattractive also.

I haven't had the surgery, but I've looked into it (after weight loss, then gain, and hopefully loss again my breasts have lost their perk) and from what I can tell the best results you get with a breast lift is also getting a small implant to hold the shape. Just half a cup size to sort of fill out the skin that makes them sag can drastically improve results.

Yes, and I sure as hell don't need them any bigger. Nor do I want any foreign objects added.

I had a breast reduction/lift about 6 years ago and I can't believe I waited so long to have it done! I used to be a size 38DD. I'm now a 36B. It was the best thing I've ever done. I no longer have back and shoulder pain and I rarely get headaches anymore and I can buy all the pretty bras that I want! :) The surgery lasted about 4 hours and I was home the next day with very little pain. I was given painkillers but never took a single one. Tylenol was more than enough for the little pain that I did have. I have more sensation now than I did when I was large except along the thick rope scar tissue almost under my armpit. I have only a little sensation there. I also have very few scars. Most faded very quickly. The new surgery techniques these days are fantastic. If you are in good health you should have very little trouble. Most doctors will request or even maybe require you to be at a healthy weight before surgery and to stop smoking if you smoke since it can cause major problems in the healing process. I personally would recommend anyone who has problems from size or shape to have it done. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

With the greatest of respect to my owner sitting beside me... you'll have to keep his post in perspective. I had a breast reduction not a breast lift. While what he said about my loss of sensitivity is true, it's because the nipples are moved around in a breast reduction and I don't believe they are in a lift. The surgeon actually suggested me getting a lift once I'm done with my weight loss so I'll be watching curiously. [:)] Talk to a doctor and find out what is done in a lift as opposed to a reduction.

Certainly is only from a vanity point of view for me anyway, that and my Dom would really like it <G> would be nice to be able to wear some clothing without a bra though. Scars......hmmmm......that may be nasty.......comes back to the vanity thing [:)] Thank you so much for your reply.

Thank you Elisabella, I would not be opposed to the idea of a small implant if it would help to hold the shape, i don't think i really need for them to be any bigger than they are, they are comfortable for me, but i'm sure my Dom would be thrilled [:)] perky and a cleavage (without squashing them into a bra that makes them look like that)......perhaps i'm asking too much.........i would be more than happy with perky......so they can stand up on their own [:D]

When you had the surgery did they say they would hold their new shape, or it may last for a certain time?

You'll have to speak to a doctor of course but I'm fairly sure that the nipples aren't moved at all during a lift/implant. Implants, lifts and reductions are all very different as very different things have to be done. Implants, I believe, only have the normal risks associated with surgery (infections, trouble from going under, etc) and the risk of the implant needing to be removed. With a reduction, because you are removing breast tissue, the nipple must be moved, and frequently the colored area surrounding the nipple made smaller, for comestic reasons so that everything looks "right". In my case, the surgery was drastic and five pounds of breast tissue were removed. I may regain feeling though at this point I rather doubt it. I will not be able to breast feed but I knew that going in - many women can after reductions but because my case was so drastic, there is very little hope for it. Speak to several doctors about scarring, loss of feeling and breast feeding (if it's a concern for you). If you happen to know anyone who deals with breast cancer patients ask them who they suggest for breast surgery. As odd as it may sound, my surgeon was a friend of a family who, in addition to comestic (as reductions are considered) surgery, does breast reconstruction after cancer requires the removal. As such, my father was able to see the end results of his work on a regular basis in my father's own practice. Remember that you should be able to see before and after pictures of the doctor's patients so that you can see his or her work. Your outcome will depend on their skill level.

I didn't have implants though, they were just lifted when the reduction was done to remove all the sagging skin that was left from the reduction. I would think that if you're getting a lift with implants which is what I see a lot do, they'll probably hold their shape for as long as there are implants.

But most importantly I simply do not want foreign objects placed inside my body that is not medically necessary. It certainly cannot be good for the body, even if they have not proven it to be bad. If keary is still here when the time comes for hers to be worked on, and I think she will be, they will be removed and not replaced.

Ahhh that hadn't actually occured to me that they would feel different to the touch with implants in them, that's a good point and certainly one to consider. thank you for pointing that one out. i'm not so sure the person fondling them would get much enjoyment if they felt like hard watermelons!

Thank you for your reply. i would hate to have the surgery done, be thrilled with the results, only to have to have them removed. i have seen medical shows where that has been the case, but i guess if the patient is in severe pain from them or suffering infection or the like it would be a relief for them to be removed. i won't be breastfeeding (that would mean, my worst nightmare had come true), my days of that are well passed [:)]. good point about the breast cancer patients, there is always someone who knows someone who has suffered in that way. i appreciate all your input.

Well, one, my insurance wouldn't cover implants since implants are considered cosmetic. The reduction and lift were considered a medical necessity because of the pain the original size caused me, and two, my dr didn't consider them necessary since he felt that I'm still young, not planning on having anymore children and with some exercise they will stay in pretty good shape for quite a few years on their own without implants.
