Ok, its been a while since Ive been on here, but I figured since Im here I might as well ask anyways.

So this morning I woke up, sort of, I was still groggy and out of it, I heard voices coming from the kitchen and because there's a hallway off the kitchen leading to our bedroom door sound carries, So I got up to close it and as I was getting up I got really dizzy and passed out on the floor, falling over books an art set and my head hitting a trash can. (it was soft plastic, no damage done to me or it) My husband and mom heard the noise (they were the ones talking) and came to check, finding me on the floor my mom started checking for leaks and holes while Joe tried to wake me up, after a few minutes of incoherent babbling about trying to close the door I was helped up and went on about my day.

Normally I wouldn't think much of it, Ive passed out before, no big deal, but today it just seems like my balance is off, if I move to fast I see the room spin and if I stand up I get wobbly, it just feels like everything is off and like Im somehow under water or out of sync, things that should be easy for me to do, like getting up or turning over seem to take an inordinate amount of time and cause me to get dizzy all over again, like Im on slow motion replay or something.

Should i be worried or will it pass? Anybody have any idea what may be the cause or if I can do anything to feel better?

Get to the Dr. ASAP! That is not normal. Fainting once is one thing, but if its happened before, get it checked out. The fact that you got dizzy when you got up suggests low blood pressure or something, which in and of itself is not so much a bad thing, but it can also be a sign of other conditions such as arrhythmia (one of the symptoms is fainting). moreso, arrhythmia can sometimes be absolutely normal for your person (it just happens), but it can also be a symptom of coronary artery disease, heart attack! or something small like an electrolyte imbalance.

either way, get it checked out just to be sure. its entirely possible its nothing, but better to be safe than sorry!

Fainting, passing out, is not normal especially if it has happened before.

Get to your doctor now. Don't wait till it's too late. This isn't something you should mess with.

Definitely see a doctor. I had those probs and still do on occasion, but tests run way back showed a problem with low blood sugar as well as an electrolyte imbalance for me. I am able to keep it pretty much under control (blood sugar) and the electrolyte problem was fixed. What you describe could be symptoms of many different things. See a doctor. Too many possibilities for strangers on a message board to even begin to tell you what might be wrong, plus doctors can run tests and actually find out.

This should have been an emergency trip to the hospital, because if related to cardio problem could very well be fatal

If you have noticed that your heart seems to be beating fast  during this this event or there is tightness in your chest or it seems hard to get your breath they can all be  very serious warning signs  og a heart problem

and some cardio conditions that can result is dizziness and blacking out  can also be fatal so take this very seriously

other question... is it possible that you are pregnant? ..another possible cause

As others have said get yourself checked. There are many things that can cause what you describe from
a sudden drop in blood pressure, low sugar, an inner ear infection, or a neurological disorder. Even if you get
to feeling better go in for a check up and tell your doctor about what happened. I suffer a bit from low blood pressure at times and it is worse when I first get or stand up if I have been sitting or laying for a long time, one
of  the things that may help if that is the case is to take deep breaths before standing up.

I would get it checked by my doctor if I had one, but they killed my insurance when I got married, so all I can really do is go to the hospital, which I will as soon as I can get a ride.

As for me being pregnant? Possible, not likely, but there is a slight chance.

my first thought was a sudden drop in your blood pressure, but it could be an inner ear imbalance or any number of things. Please get checked out ASAP

If you're able, while en route to the doctor, pick up a home pregnancy test and give that a whirl either in the store's bathroom or the hospital's bathroom.

I used to have that problem.  The doctors passed it off as low blood sugar, since eating made it feel better and happen less often.

Then it got much much worse.  Turned out after I started not being able to talk or think or read straight that I had narcolepsy that had been getting worse and worse the longer I went without treatment.

When you see the doctors, try to get a second opinion.  I was misdiagnosed for years over and over as depression, low blood sugar, all sorts of things.  Then I did a sleep study (preceeded by an amazing number of blood tests, heart and brain scans...)

Now I am medicated and almost never pass out any more.
