Daddy gave me the daintest little ring, it's a thin band with a raised heart in the middle and a single flower and leaf on either side of the heart, it belonged to his mom and he knew she wouldn't mind me having it! Now it's not a wedding ring or nothing serious, but I am still happy he trusted me with something precious! I am so giggly and gooshy about the gift. The ring is a little loose on my pinky,, so I'm not gonna wear it, I am going to buy a ring box, or a little ring display thingie, like when you're washing dishes, and put it on the nick nack shelf right along with Sparkies ashes and other precious items, I may even put it on the small lock of sparkies ash box dunno yet!

What a sweet gift! [:)] And just out of the blue like that, too? Or was it something special for the both of you? You could always buy a plain necklace chain to wear it on, too.

Yeah, it was just out of the blue, he went to his brothers house, to pick up some stuff his brother had for him and he comes home and says I have something for you here. and pulled out the ring! yeah I didn't think about a chain, we can pick it out together or something! quote: ORIGINAL: dreamofthemoon What a sweet gift! Very nice. I'm sure it's very pretty. Wearing it on a chain is a nice idea if it doesn't fit your fingers. I'm sure he would like you to wear it since he gave it to you. I know my Sir enjoys me wearing the jewelry He's given me. [;)]

I'm throwing my vote in here for wearing the ring on the chain. It's just nice to display it like that and it's a visual reminder of the thought he put into giving it to you.
