I am seeking a manufacturer somewhere in the world that does really good quality work. I am toying with the idea of purchasing a set as this very lucky sub has someone in mind for a present down the road...Any suggestions?

Believe it or not, try ebay. I found a maker on there a few years ago, GREAT boots, they fit and never gave problems.
