Everyone has wants. I have wants. It's up to Master to decide if they get fulfilled or not though. If they were never fulfilled why would one stick around? Sorry, I'm still human.

Everyone has wants. It is a large part of my job to fulfill Master's wants or better said, to be used as a vehicle for Him to fulfill His wants. I have wants. It is up to me to fulfill them. It amazes me how people think someone else should be the perpetual Santa Claus. I am simply a tool Master uses to have things He wants. In that regard He is taking care of His own wants by having me as His slave. I think if we take responsibility for taking care of our own wants we will have less conflict in our lives but that's just me. Some of my wants are fulfilled each and every morning when I feel the warmth of Him in the bed. There is no action required on His part. I fulfill my want by simply accepting my joy.

Hmm... I'd say every human has wants, we can't just turn them off or something like that. And I agree with DesFIP, without wants, it'd be a pretty boring life.

needs-Needs-Wants-wants In this house, our needs come first, before His (food, shelter, safety, health)...His wants come before ours. we speak freely and without any particular protocol, but respectfully. When a decision is made, He uses the above formula to make that decision. i have yet to have any need not met, i actually have yet to have a want not met as well, but its a matter of when/how/where etc...i dont speak for my sister, but i dont see her crying out for anything in particular either. When i have a want...and its clearly a want, not a need, i measure whether i really want it badly enough to ask for it. He has a lot on his plate. If i can fill my own want, i ask if that would please him and if it does, great. If not, then i dont get whatever that is. If i cant deal with it without his direct assistance...then i put it out there and let it go, if it comes to me, fine. If not, well, thats the way the cookie crumbles. i cant imagine not getting my wants met just as i couldnt tolerate not having my needs met. Bad slave, i know, but come on...[:)]

I want to please my Master so badly that it has become a craving. I want him to show signs that I have done that well. If I can't get those basic wants met in my relationship it wouldn't be worth having. I'm sure, OP, that you are making a point of how some extremists might feel. I think they are missing out on something special if they do. I am never so motivated to serve wholeheartedly as when my simple wants are met. Throw in a nice surprise and I make more effort than I even knew I was capable of.

I wouldn't be a slave if I didn't have wants or needs. I don't see master/slave as a one way street, it is symbiotic.

Sure master has wants and i want to fulfill them. Master wants to know my wants. he can fulfill them or not as he wishes. I have expressed no wants that he has not fulfilled, but in his time usually not when they are expressed. We love each other very much and his happiness increases my happiness. Matt's littleone

Mercnbeth's philosophy is how I think on the topic. I mean, the slave wants to fulfill their master's desires... right? Otherwise, why are they a slave to that person?

I didn't add the emphasis that I meant... The slave wants to fulfill their master's desires. They want to be owned. Those are two wants that most, if not all, consensual slaves have... so their fulfilling their wants/desires through their servitude, right? I don't claim to understand slaves :P but that won't stop me from trying to :) EDIT: Fricken spelling is killing me today.

If the Dom has at least a hint of a clue as to how relationships work, he will find a compatible partner who's wants are symbiotic with his and then he won't have to make statements such as this.
