What i would like to get some input on is:

What are your experiences in getting a return response to your introductory emails on this site?

i am interested in limiting this thread to people who wriite to lifestyle dom(me)'s only, and conform to all the wishes and requests of the profile they are writing too, especially from those who write to both male doms and female dommes.

i would very much like to hear any comments from those who fit into this catagory.

The reality is that people can be rude, this is a gender neutral fact. Expecting them to reply to all email or on your schedule is unrealistic. In a lot of ways it's like fishing you cast and wait. Cast and wait.

Having a profile that is honest about what you seek. Writing more than a 1-3 sentence intro if you're interested. Being yourself and honest with what you desire in your search. This is the best advice that I can give.

This is the internet. There will always be liars, scam artists, and the dream dominant that turns out to be unemployed & living in a trailer park.

Holding firm to what you believe and being true to your desires is the best way to find what you seek.

Sure i realize there are rude people and i understand that not every email even deserves to be answered as well in any specific time frame. i am asking because i have thoughts on this and i want to see how my thoughts compare with others.

So you feel it is gender neutral than, so thats one for =

Thanks for responding, i do hope others do as well.

This is from a dom, but it may help:

People have been pleasant. Sometimes someone I like disappears, but that's the way it goes.

Every once in a while one of those 'admirers' pops on CM home page and that's nice to see.

One of the really good things is that the experienced doms aren't full of themselves, and people seem free to exchange notes unexpectedly.

My response might not be great for you, depending on what you're looking for from this site, we might be on totally different paths but my personal experience has been fantastic.

I've sent messages to almost exclusiveley Dominants, males, females and couples alike, and I've always gotten a reply back. I'm still new to this and looking to gain perspective from experienced individuals, especially couples, so I like to ask questions that relate to my specific concerns and problem areas in the relationship I am trying to mend with my Dominant.

Everyone has been extremely welcoming of my questions and replied very quickly, and invited me to message them at any time if I had any other questions.

But I do understand it may be much different if you are looking to kindle a relationship, so my experience may be out of the norm. Best of luck and I hope that you find what you're lookig for int he future [:D]

and if everyone adhered to this philosophy, a much more pleasant a place this would be...

Of course it does make it easier to distinguish between the good and the otherwise.

I completely agree there.. I wasnt expecting anyone to reply to my profile, but imagine my surprise when it happened..

Well.. suffice it to say.. said Domina sent me an email with "kneel slave, for this Mistress wants to see more pictures" Although I tottally blew etiquette out of the water on this one.. I simply replied with "how does it feel to want"

I myself have been tempted to email someone on here, but, the biggest thing (I.M.O) is to make yourself noteworthy.. think about it

Your at the car dealership, looking to invest in a new car.. the first car you walk by, is faded red, bald tires, and...it makes noises when it starts up (sounds like my first car :| )

The next car you come to.. is not faded as bad, the tires are fairly new.. but.. when you start it up.. it purrs..

Which one would you go with? The same thing can and does apply in the lifestyle.. something about you.. ie your personality, HAS to stand out...

Someone I used to talk with on a regular basis once told me that "competition" between submissives seeking Dominas/Dominants is VERY tight.. and that for every one Domina/Dominant, there could very well be 20 more submissives/slaves ahead/behind you..

It's up to you to make yourself stand out..

Best wishes

*V*

Arpig -> RE: Initial Response (2/2/2006 12:22:06 AM)

I get a response to mine, but so far i send messages to people with a comment about their profile or something said on here, so its not really an "introduction" email
