The financial industry brought the economy to its knees, but how did they get away with it? With the nation wondering how to hold the bankers accountable, Bill Moyers sits down with William K. Black, the former senior regulator who cracked down on banks during the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s. Black offers his analysis of what went wrong and his critique of the bailout

I saw this show when it came on. Very good - I thought the guy raised some good points.

Moyers keeps on going.  I think when he passes- he will come back from the grave to do his journalism.  lol

Whatever...nice to see all of this great advice and commentary from people who could or couldn't make a difference and surely will not now.

Moyer can tap this theme for months now and so what...the horse (cash) is out of the barn and (in their pockets)...too late now.

... at odds is the paper economy over the real economy.

the paperwork is given priority status.

A trillion new apples did not get created.   It would sorta be like trying to live in a chat room.  One can focus the mind to the chat room, but sooner or later one has to pee or eat or sleep real time.  and park ones azz somewhere where it is warm and dry.

The powers that be like to say  "we had no way of knowing"   then continue to pass sloppy legislation that they dont read.

Of course- we are to blame as well-- because we vote them back in.

Have a paper hamburger for lunch. It is more value then the real thing.
