At my last annual, my gyno told me that she could "see some yeast" and asked if I had any discomfort during sex, to which I freaked out a bit and said no, then asked how I should treat it, she said, "Don't do anything!" and told me that if I started to have any discomfort, then come back and we'd see if it needed any kind of treatment. Since then I've been uncomfortable (not vaginally, just in my head, not sure which is worse lol), talked to a few of my girlfriends and one of them actually was told the same thing, that she had more than average, but since it didn't cause discomfort her gyno also said do nothing. I did some Google research and it was...somewhat frightening saying some end up with systemic yeast infections and the like. I was curious if anyone here had been told the same by their doctors and most importantly, should we not have oral sex now having this 'more than average' amount? I was all flustered so I didn't think to ask my gyno when I was there and it takes literally months to get an app't with her, so I'm hoping I can find some answers here rather than going to see a different doctor in the meantime. Thanks all, sorry for an...errr...strange and slightly "eww" kind of topic --EDITED-- because I missed a point
