Ginger is really good at taking her toys to some far reach of our half acer plot and loosing her toys, hell sometimes the toys just disapere all on their own. One time she had this huge life size hamburger squeaky, and it just disapered a few years back and has never been seen again. We just bought her a fleece squeaky heart yesterday and all ready to day she had it hidden in the bushes and in the dirt and the stuff the mulberry tree's drop all over the ground, it's a wonder it'll last a week lol. She'll either loose it or rip it to pieces.

Laughing at That Damned Panda. Yeah I can see that going over like a lead balloon, Ginger you don't appreciate your toys and you loose them far to often, you're going to have to have money for toys from now on and, she'll just wag her tail and look at me with those bright shiney brown eyes, cause I am talking to her.

I have friends who have taught both of their dogs to return their toys to the toy basket when they are tired of playing with them. Have you tried that trick? Treats help in the teaching. poenkitten

I try to not let him take the toys out. Not that this is working so well. But he's not terribly interested in toys. Rawhide bones on the other hand get his total and utmost attention.

I taught mine to return toys to their basket after I kept losing my phone in the doggy sofa. It was their sofa and I guess the big one decided to claim what she wanted and keep it for herself. To teach mine, I only gave them a toy or treat when I could sit and watch them. When they tried to take it off or bury it, I would direct them to the basket. With one it helped to have a small blanket in there so she could bury it. lol You have to do it every time and until they catch on. When they do catch on and take it back, reward them with affection or a treat if that is how you have gotten them to do other things. The more consistant you are, the easier it will be. God I miss my dogs!

Wow... FullCircle! Those were some big toys! I saw a show about a dog that ate balls, but those stuffed animals would be harder to gulp down I would think! My dog went for apples and rocks... the tree was cut down after she got sick (500 vet bill) and the rocks were harder to break her from.

yes she eats them for lack of better word. My dog is the complete opposite. He'll bury a bagel and then go and dig it up three months later and try to bring it back into the house.
