Rashes and full blown allergies can be purely stress induced. It happened to one under my care when school became a very hostile enviornment. He had massive areas of scaley skin all over his body, randomly became allergic to pet dander, dust, and more. He developed asthmatic symptoms and was sick more than he was well from Christmas on. He cleared completely after school ended. He began stressing a few weeks before school started, at which point I pulled him into a more private environment. He has been fine ever since. I would suggest finding what is triggering your stress and making steps to either minimize or avoid it altogether. Learning relaxation and coping skills would be helpful as well. Until you know what is sending your body into these fits, it will likely continue and even potentially worsen. Don't let it get out of hand. I would also suggest seeing both an allergist and a dermatologist for consultations. They may be able to pinpoint a more "medical" reason for your condition that should not be overlooked. Often people who already have low level skin conditions or allergies can worsen during periods of stress as well. Be sure to clarify this before writing it all off as just stress induced. Treatment could mean you can lessen or eliminate these flare ups. Also, do you have any other symptoms like aching muscles or joints, tiredness, mood shifts, etc? These can point to conditions such as Lyme disease, lupus, fibromyalgia, ms, and more. Make sure you are looking at the whole picture. lovingpet
