You've got an amazing understanding of the lingo and general dialect.  You're only about 20-30 miles south with that accent.  I'm curious to know what that would sound like with an American twang.
If you have Skype we can find out.

Phoenix.. you dont WANT to go downtown here... there's nothing to recommend it.   Ybor City (about 20 minutes) is much better..

Perhaps you prefer "Do I look like a bitch?"

Hmm...somehow I was expecting the 5th element line:  "Whoa, lady, I only speak two languages, English and bad English."

Oh, and which American twang?  We have many!  SE Wisconsin alone in full of interesting local dialects.

I just find I stick out when ever I go anywhere in winter, I am in a t-shirt and the locals are in winter coats. Oh the advantages of living in Canada, almost anywhere is warmer

Pet, hinny, etc. are local terms equivalent to calling someone hun.

When I read this, I immediately thought of Victoria Beckham.   I've heard of men pretending to be women here, but this is the first for a woman pretending to be a man.  How's the Mr.?
