Can't watch it. Two reasons.

1. No television outside of watching movies on DVD.

2. Can't stand CSI. Only saw one episode. They tore up a guy's entire house looking for a dead body and only when they got through tearing holes in every wall upstairs did someone finally get the *brilliant* idea to check the basement. I can't bring myself to watch another episode.

Good luck Mistress Heather. May you catch the writers on a good day.

This episode looks really weird outside of Lady Heather being a Domme I don’t think it has any BDSM content. Looks like they find lady heathers daughter’s body shaved bald and dumped in the desert a victim of bizarre medical experiments.
Anyway I will watch because it looks x-filesish in nature

Oh cool! Another Mistress Heather episode! *does snoopy dance* That is one awesome lady and I love her insights into Grissom! Slaves of Las Vegas (the first featuring her) is my favorite of all of the CSI episodes. Lady Heather's Box isn't far behind. Not only is the Lady Heather story arc a compelling further look into Grissom, but the acting portrayed in the resolution of Catherine's problems with her ex husband is nuanced and heartbreaking!

Melinda Clark (Lady Heather) http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0164918/ is a lovely and talented actress. I hope this showcases her as well as the prior two episodes did. By the way, if you loved Lady Heather, watch the Firefly episode, Heart of Gold, that also features Melinda Clark. http://www.bureau42.com/view/1700

As much as the episodes did pertain to a criminal element within the community, albeit outside practioners. The character Lady Heather is the embodiment of the truely iconic Domme. The intellect and stature they gave the character was remarkable. It makes one wonder if the writer has some experience with truely enlightend Dommes. Or at the very least a fantasy of what he's looking for in one, lol.

That was my feeling also, bear. She is intuitive, cultured and refined, strong and powerful. I was pleased that someone in BDSM was finally being portrayed in a positive light.

Kinda OT, but your post made me think of something... I wonder if Joss Whedon (Firefly creator) has some experience with very elite pros. The way he wrote the character of Inara in Firefly is really intriguing. Seems along the same lines as Mistress Heather (never seen CSI so I'm just going by what I've read here) -- she's portrayed as an almost spiritual character. Highly educated, highly selective, intensely ethical, cultured, and wise. I actually think she's the yin to Shepherd Book's yang (or is it the other way, I can never keep it straight).

There were tons of kinky references in "Buffy" and "Angel" both all the time -- most often used correctly or they seemed to be purposely used incorrectly.

Yeah, "The Wish" and "Doppelgangland" are two favorite episodes. Go figure.

I know it's off topic - but if you actually watched the episode, you would have realized that the reason they tore the walls down is because the evidence (the bugs that are attracted to rotting flesh) were in the walls ... and it comes out that the woman's body had been hidden in the wall first, then moved to the water tank in the basement.

On topic - woohoo!! I like how they portray the lifestyle when Lady Heather is on (although there have been a few episodes that touch on the bad side ... but neither of the ones I've seen with LH).

I don't care about those damn beetles. The evidence that "eventually" lead them to the basement was that the hot water was not on and had nothing to do with the walls. They could have searched the guy's basement long before they started pulverizing the guy's walls.

That was just as bad as the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation.

I don't much like CSI, but I do love her character. This was a creepy episode but we didn't get to see her do much that was interesting.

We liked and liked the fact that she used her people skills to figure out who the killer might be and then also used her skills to punish him.

I liked that she was an avenging mother. Wish they would have shown what happened to her at the end though -- will they charge her with kidnapping and assault or pled it out or let it slide?

OK...is it me, or did it seem like Grissom at one point was her Dominant...a couple of things in the course of the episode seem to indicate that.

The fact that at some point she said Grissom gave up the right to tell her what to do, and at the end of the episode...the way he told her to stop.

Is it just me, or did someone else see that too?

I always thought their dynamic was of a pair of switches frankly -- a give and take where he was trustworthy and careful enough to get her to bottom and she asked the right questions that got him to bottom and open up emotionally.

But she was in grief and on the edge of being of control (what parent wouldn't be?) and she needed someone to say "stop". I think that's a human dynamic, not a scene dynamic.

Their technical adviser slipped up at the end. She was using a eight foot single tail on someone bound to a solid object, the front end of a car, from a distance of about five feet.

Sloppy, sloppy.

In the second Lady Heather Episode - Grissom slept over with her... and then finds out she is a suspect, and he has to suspect her - hence losing all of her trust.

Often the outside input from a trusted source is vital in turning someone from a destructive course. Ivan the Terrible and the holy man comes to mind.
