Wow I didn't expect this topic to gain so much interest. But it's nice to see so many different views.

Akasha was right in saying that most subs love to talk about it and wank to the idea. And a year ago that would have been me (not wanking, I'm a good boy). But I thought I'd just let you know that I did go shopping in the end with a female friend. I carried her bags, followed her around the shops, bought her lunch and a coffee but passed on the foot massage. And to be honest, I was so bored! It definately wasn't what I expected it to be (but thinking about it now I'm not sure what I did expect). But I wished I had checked out prices before so I knew what I was getting myself into. Lingerie and shoes are so much more expensive than I thought!!! But I had a fun time with my friend and it was nice to spend time with her so I can't complain too much.

That's one less thing off my to do list now.

Was there any sexual tension/flirtation between you and the lady? I could make a submissive man's head spin on a shopping trip if that was the intent, but there would be a lot of distractions. If I was serious about shopping, there would be more focus on getting things done.
I had the opportunity to shop for many many hours over the weekend and had my boy in tow, and was reminded of his efficiencies and why he's golden.  For one, he never complains. He holds my purse, my coat, and my bags at all times unless I don't let him.  He stands outside the dressing room (or inside if I want him) and hangs things back up on the hanger after I try them on - I HATE having to hang up clothes more than anything. He fetches other sizes when I call for them.  He gives second opinion on things I try on.  He makes note of what I am looking for and scans ahead for me to pull things and also makes suggestions.  He asks, "Can I get you a drink? Do you need anything?" often enough to keep me satisfied but not be clingy.
Best of all, he is honest about how things look. He can pick things off a rack that will look great on me.
Once I find something I want, I give it to him and he goes to pay for it and sign for it.

Recently I went out shopping alone and I forgot what a hassle it was to carry my own bags and wait in lines.  I have started threads about this before; sometimes it's a huge drawback being a very pampered femdom because you get very used to things, like not standing in lines for anything. I have zero patience.

Akasha

Lol! Not this woman [;)]

A derriere conversation between me and my sub goes something along the lines of:

Me: “Hey boy, does my butt look big in this?”

Him: “Yes”

Me: “excellent”.

501's always made us gals with no ass look like we had a bit of one.  But you could ware them with any figure and they looked good.  They are just the perfect jean!  And believe me... as a former bartender who saw a lot of 501's bent over a pool table... I know a good jean when I see them! hehe

Actually - that's certainly true of the rear area.  A female friend of mine bought a pair of 501s recently and she suddenly had a good bum.

If I'm due to be playing pool, I always wear a belt.  A lot of hairy Grand Canyons - not a pretty sight.

Same here on the derriere worry.   I don't.   I can criticize arms and stomachs interfeering with waist size, but not the butt.   I'm not saying I'd want one that got so big it had it's own personality and zip code, but other than that, big is kool.    M

Andalusite -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 7:09:11 AM)

I think even the smallest 501's are a smidge too big for me, but I'll check out the Gloria Vanderbilts. :) I had a pair I absolutely loved before, but I tripped and ripped the knee, and they're just not the style that looks right with.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 7:54:04 AM)

I guess I am in the minority then, I always worry about my bum being too big, oh hold on, make that bum, tummy, chest...

But then again I grew up with Kate Moss being the beauty icon of the time and a mother who looks pregnant when she swallows a pea, I kinda like curves on other women but on myself it's just a pain in the neck, finding the right clothes and all, if something fits the hips and the bust, the waist is usually miles too wide and everything has to be altered. Bloody annoying!

Andalusite -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 8:04:32 AM)

Yeah, some clothes just aren't tailored to allow for curves! I have pretty wide hips relative to my size, and even when I've been seriously underweight a few times, I still couldn't wear clothes that were any smaller, since it doesn't change my bone structure in my hips or shoulders.

Lockit -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 10:39:40 AM)

As an adult I had to shop at stores not for adults... tricky wording here! lol  I can remember finding some decent slacks that had this lil tag I learned to cut off.  I was working at a major electronic's place and some ladies were walking behind me and giggling because the tag pegged me and showed I wasn't in adult slacks!  I found with 501's no one knew I wasn't an adult size. lol

I was so happy when they started making smaller sizes for women and I could go to different stores.  I will never forget being in a dressing room before this and a young one saying... mommy why is that lady here?  I used to joke... do you know how hard it is to find sexy clothes in the winnie the pooh section?  I learned to never take a man shopping with me! lol

Now that I am truely into adult sizes... I just don't wear many jeans at all.  But I was almost forty before I could really find clothes that fit.  I hated shopping and could rarely find things.  So now I just wear stretchy, thin and soft materials... with legs far longer than I will ever have!

Blouses were a huge problem because I could never find things that fit everywhere that actually didn't gap or was too tight over my chest.  Thank the powers that be for tee shirts and causal wear!

It is just safer not to take a man shopping with me.  It is a hell trip and even the toughest of men will draw back in horror!  Shopping for anything other than clothes... oh yes... that is a different story!

PeonForHer -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 10:53:29 AM)

Good god, Lockit.  *Wince*.  That's given me a shuddering thought.

A sub going shopping for his domme in women's clothes shops is one thing.  Going shopping for her in the . . . not-adult-female . . . section of women's clothes shops is a whole 'nother degree.  A man has his career, reputation and indeed liberty to think about. [:D]

Yeah, I have to admit that the size of my rear never crosses my mind.  Lol...if I was to direct the Automatic Shrink Ray at various body parts, I'd definitely leave my bum for last...

Lockit -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 10:57:11 AM)

lol Peon... exactly why I shopped alone and even now... out of those shops... it is still like walking on ice way too thin!

PeonForHer -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 10:58:16 AM)

Next time you can't find your size, and the assistants get snotty with you, just ask "Do you have this in extra medium?"  That always gives them the headache they deserve.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 11:53:40 AM)

Sometimes you find great stuff in the "not grown up" section, I bought a black cardigan that is actually part of a school uniform and it looks fab with business clothes, I was actually asked at a conference by several ladies where I bought and which designer it is, gave me a chuckle. Pretended not to remember, as possibly in that environment proclaiming loudly "Marks + Sparks, £5 reduced, school section" would have been a bit out of place ;)

But the size thing really annoys me a lot, business wear isn't available in brat shops and it does show if it is cheap or really nice quality, so if you buy nice quality you hunt for a shop that does smaller sizes, then you get it, pay a fortune and pay again for having it altered for the right fit. It's actually cheaper to get them tailored, absolutely crazy! And shoes, you would think size 3 1/2 to 4 is a normal size, I really don't want little cowboys or flowers, bees and all that on my shoes... (or Peon's fave, brat sized pink wellies, I think he has a fetish for my wellies....)

PeonForHer -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 12:07:41 PM)

Damned right I do.  Hubbah!  Do they have stiletto heels?

LadyConstanze -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 12:36:02 PM)

The fact that out of all my pics this one caught your attention is rather telling, is it me, the pink wellies or the wooly girls behind me?

PeonForHer -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 1:39:24 PM)

Well, one of those 'woolly girls' does seem to be staring rather fixedly at your rear, Lady C.  This worries me at an ethical level.

However, I'm more concerned about your sloppy posture in that photo.  You're slouching.  Slouching, I say!

LadyConstanze -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 2:05:18 PM)

I'm not slouching, I am walking against a wind on a wet field, as for the girl looking at my rear, possibly more at the bag in my hand, I had bread in it, they do require "tribute" if you cross the field (actually quite pleased with myself, after visiting the sheep for years and years and feeding them, they are now so well trained that anybody who crosses the field better has food for them, or they start blocking the way, complain loudly and go for anything people carry and they are not afraid to challenge a dog over the ownership of a biscuit...

PeonForHer -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 2:11:22 PM)

*Cackle*  Excellent.  A proper Western-style square-up.

So this is why sheep follow me across their fields when I'm hiking.  A farmer told me that it was my rucksack - the sheep thought I had food in it.

Bit unnerving till I was told that, to tell you the truth.

Lockit -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 2:16:30 PM)

ROFL... oh the mind pictures!  I shouldn't be so imaginative!  The thought of Peon, hiking, with a rucksack and sheep... now that is funny!  Having seen his darling front side... upper part you naughty thinkers(!)... I can imagine the expression on his face! hehe

Running... looking back with wide eyes... whoa... hey... your nose is cold and hard... what was that?  And if I am not mistaken... I heard something about virgin's.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Shopping slavery (5/6/2009 2:24:07 PM)

Lockit, I think I found out his secret identity...
