ORIGINAL: angelikaJ Some lubed condoms contain nonoxynol-9 and many people are sensitive. Peeing right after sexual activity is a good preventative measure. I also think cross contamination is possible going from anal to vaginal if you are simply switching condoms. If you use a lot of lube, it would be possible for it (and the bacteria from your anus) to travel along his pubic hair etc. Thank you for the advice angelikaJ :-) love how people here know stuff :-). Will make a point of going to the loo afterwards, probably not traveling along his pubic hair (um, he has......very little) :-) I wax, he shaves :-) I will be on the hunt for some unlubed ones. Did ask the guy at the chemist today, but he said he doesn't think anyone makes them, so of course i came home and googled it (google is my friend), and indeed there is a big company that makes them, i was sure i had seen them at one time or another. Eliminate things one by one :-) thankfully i don't get UTI's that often, but even one is too many. I'm pretty quick to treat them, that feeling of "i need to pee"and then it's just a dribble, is awful :-( and that burning......ouch. Might be the spermicide lube they use on the condoms or you could be allergic to the latex.... Condoms without latex are dreadfully expensive, but you could experiment with water based lubes first, if it doesn't get better and latex free condoms are a financial issue, it might make more sense and be cheaper to have to sets of toys (one set for each entrance) and you clean them thoroughly and even keep them in separate boxes. A lot of people are allergic to the spermicide lube or the latex and UTIs... If you have an UTI, I would recommend green oat tea, makes you pee like a race horse but it does wash the bacteria out and is a natural antibacterial source that works especially well on the urinary tract, 100% natural and no side effects.
