Jeptha -> RE: Love is in the Air... (5/13/2009 7:17:31 PM)

While I do use "words of affirmation" to express appreciation and so forth, and try to be generous with them, I was, for a time, reluctant to say the actual phrase "I love you."

I chose not to say it because I'd heard it said that the moment you exchange the "I love you"s you begin taking one another for granted.

I thought there was some truth to it. I thought there was a possessive subtext there, and I don't mean possessive in a good way.

It seemed as though there were an unstated assumption contained within the phrase, something like; "I love you, and I need you never to change and be mine forever, etc."

Since then I've more or less gotten over it, though I am still a little wary of the phrase.

SIRLOINSTEAK -> RE: Love is in the Air... (5/13/2009 8:11:15 PM)

Here in michigan, its Spring Time. I've been looking at the Birds (they flying around building nests in pairs), and the bees (well, I think it was a big yellow-jacket wasp, not a bee).

I recently ended an email with Love is in the AIR or something along those lines.....but maybe not, she hasn't emailed me back.....I guess i was being too optimistic....

I rather be an optimus prime than a pessimist.......

Love beats hate by a smidgen.....Don't hate those who reject you, just move on to the one who will love you back......

One way love doesn't work or isn't as nice as two-way lovin' Emotional love, physical love, and sexual love together is a potent combo and that is what I'm looking for. Quote me on it. (a few silent tears) Mental masturbation is just not as satisfying....
Its hard to not find love, people are around....

You do need to be careful peeps, STD's are real....I am a little paranoid.....Remember Obama/democrats/ spending how many million to tell us this message? I can tell it well, just give me the money...I'll make one commercial and wammo, 100+ million ;0 (How's that for a nest egg, baby!!!) Unfortunately, people don't like being told what to do, and appearantly alot of people who pledge abstinance are even more likely to engage in sex....statistically (okay, I'm a nerd).....
