This is  (former Gov.) Jesse Ventura at his best. I really like a lot of what he has to say. Check out the full article and videos.

[Water-boarding] is torture... It's drowning. It gives you the complete sensation that you are drowning. It is no good, because you -- I'll put it to you this way, you give me a water board, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders.

So Ventura can't tell the difference between an hour and forty seconds?

I wouldn't be shocked if he couldn't.

Crazy Jesse at it again.  First off Jesse was never a SEAL.  He was a UDT, and was in UDT 12 in Vietnam.  He got a campaign ribbon for being there (floating on an amphibous ship), but never got a combat ribbon.  That's why he never talks about what he did in combat, he never saw any.  We all know if Jesse had he would never shut up with his stories.  Had he ever actually been in SEAL TEAM 1, he would have recieved a combat ribbon and not just a cmpaign ribbon for being there.  He was never water boarded in any UDT training.

There has been an argument for sometime in the old retired community about Jesse.  Some want to slap him upside the head for lying, others think he brings good press to the teams.

Wait, maybe it was the 23 CIA agents who water boarded him.  He is crazy as a loon.

"According to the United States Naval Special Warfare Command policy, Ventura is entitled to use the title "SEAL", due to both his service in the UDT and SEAL teams, and his successful graduation from UDT-R (now BUD/S) training."

Interesting that it says that on Jesse's wiki site, because if go to the USNSWC website you find no mention of that.  The SEAL Teams and the UDT were separate until 1983 when they were combined.

Once again Jesse was never a SEAL, he could have been if he had wanted to.  During the Vietnam war any UDT member who wanted to be in a SEAL team only had to ask for the transfer.

Never forget Jesse is as crazy as a loon and a habitual liar.

Yep, absolutely. Are you originally from Minnesota, by chance? Or did you live here for a time? Because you sure have this guy's history down pretty pat. If I recall correctly, this was about the time when he stopped speaking to the press, when they were hammering him over lying about  having been a SEAL. Some were suggesting that the reason he'd stayed a UDT instead of asking for the transfer was because he knew that as a SEAL, he'd definitely see combat. I don't know if I'd call that fair, but by that time the press was pretty fed up with his antics (which included threatening grave bodily harm to reporters who he felt had crossed him), and they weren't cutting him any slack.

Either way, no matter what his reasons for not transferring, the fact is he was never a  SEAL, yet he continues to lie about it to this day.
