Well, there's 8 minutes of my life i'd like back. Utter tosh. Awful logic. Nice production values though........

Well it's not as if this part is any news. Let's stick with it being about population changes and religious demographics directly as a result.

The only real concerns are the tole on govt. services and any legislation it produces if any and as a result of any citizenship bestowed upon the immigrants..

Heck, O59,

Go here:  http://www.themonastery.org/

I did.  I'm ordained.  Cost me nothing.

(I did it to marry some friends of ours...three couples so far)

And to the OP:  I'm glad you found what works for you and wish you the best.  Just don't expect to see me on Sunday or Wednesday at church.

I have to wonder about a video which motivates people to worship through fear and urges them to fornicate, is this really what is taught in the gospel and the Christian message? Is presenting opinion as fact and spreading falsehood part of the Christian philosophy?

I have nothing against people spreading the message and giving the 'lost souls' of this world the choice or the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their saviour and the chance to receive the gospels, but surely not in such a hypocritical, confrontational or even an exploitative manner.

And this isn't just the word, or is it? What about the washing of the feet, the healing, the feeding of the poor and the care of the sick? What about turning the other cheek? What about not casting the first stone, about not making judgments, about loving your brothers and sisters and doing to them as you would want others to do unto you?

I'm not suggesting here that we lay hands upon one another and become healers nor am I suggesting for one moment that we become missionaries, but surely there is much more to spreading the message than mere words? Surely there is more to belief and faith than forecasting doom and destruction or misery for other people?

Our lives are shaped by our experiences, by the actions of others and our own actions which go to shape our thoughts, our beliefs and ultimately our destiny. To me there is no greater teaching tool or learning experience than through example.

This is the message written so very clearly on the pages of the New Testament just as it is in other religious texts like the Holy Koran. Something worthy of a pause for thought perhaps?

That saying, my best wishes and heartfelt regards to the OP.

If the videomakers stuck with actual statistics that were correct.  But they didn't.

Everyone should be allowed to post their belief, I wouldn't want to see a pagan feel unable to post.  Nor an atheist.  Nor a Muslim.  Nor a Catholic.

I have spiritual beliefs, and they are important to me. They aren't Christian nor any of the major religioins, but rather a blend of things that make me feel good.

With that said, the problem I see with religion is this: what you believe doesn't make it right for everyone. Now, if someone saw me burning a sage wand or playing with tarot cards, I'd be more than happy to answer an inquiry with my fundamentals. I'd ANSWER an inquiry. I would never go knocking on doors and beat people with the fact that my religion is superior. This just isn't an effective approach on a moderately educated society.

That killed me to even admit that society is moderately educated by the way.

Let people come to you, and if your purpose is divine, then let divinity lead them to you. No one is right or wrong with this. It's as much about psyche as anything else, and whatever helps people feel fulfilled, let them do it. Don't smash them with "I'm right, listen to me me me!"

but i am right...

like everyone else, i have my own set of beliefs shaped by my own personal circumstances and experiences. I expect to be allowed to think and, if i feel the need, to voice them them and i give others that same respect.

However, what i don't to is proclaim that my way is The Truth. It's just my perception, what works for me.. i don't try to force it on anyone else and if i were to try i'd expect to come up against some pretty hot debate - it's a healthy response to this kind of ..er.. 'information'. In poking and prodding the OP a bit nobody is denying them their right to free speech, simply asking them to flesh out the bones a bit.

Those who prefer  not to engage simply don't have to - another one of the benefits, of both free speech and the 'x' button top right!

In reply I will first off say I dislike prostelytes of all strips, regardless of affiliation, and I have no time whatsoever for those who preach deceptions, scaremongering and outright lies wrapped in questionable theology. I don't care what hateful creed the OP subscribes to really, what I dislike is that bile being put forward as a champion of any form of truth. She has the right to state her position, and she did so, and I have the right to tell her to shutup, and I did so.
Have a nice day

I agree to a point about peoples rights.  But simply telling someone to shut up and go away just closes down everything.  Surely it would have been more productive to explain that the video is full of misinformation and mistakes?  Otherwise you just get people watching the video and actually believing such vitriol is true?  It is quite possible that the OP may believe it's all true but how can anyone learn anything by just being told to shut up and go away?

And then the mods have the right to possibly put you on moderation, mod spank your post  or warn you you'll be modspanked if you keep it up.

Dark, you have a good point, but it has been my experience that when dealing with religious fundamentalists of that ilk (as portrayed in the video) that one is wasting one's time trying to reason, as the position is based on paranoia and self-deception, rather than reality. The video is so full of BS that it would take far to long to go through it point by point debunking it. Experience has taught me that in cases like this to just make them go away, rather than try to engage them in a reasoned debate.

Well, that would depend on the other places now, would it not?
