How do you find out what you like in vanilla relationships without getting married or seriously committed? Also, if you find something you aren't sure about, click on the "search" link at the top of the forum page and do a search for it. Likely it's been discussed and you have lots of info at your fingertips.

Read the forums, search the web, learn what others are doing and look inside yourself to see if they are things you find appeal (Or conversly things that definatly DON'T appeal that you may want to note as hard or soft limits). But a lot of people try and make other people wrong for drawing their lines differently and try and make others feel bad about not doing the same thing they are doing. Just like the vanilla world.

What is it you're looking for? I mean, why did you become interested in BDSM D/s? The best advice that can be offered is, explore. I recommend a real life BDSM D/s educational/support group. Take your time, read and talk with other subs and slaves. Learn to understand yourself. The clue is look within, and see who you can relate to. If you had to respect someone and obey who would you pick? There are many books, and sites along with journals people write that can help you. Don’t be in a rush because you will find yourself in the bargain basement section, and be turned off by the lifestyle. Most of all if you are not ready to be attacked stay out of the chat rooms until you are at least a little experience. You will get more crap than you are ready for.
