Did anyone see how that Steeler's quarterback admitted that he didn't think that he scored on that running play?

I can't tell you how much I respect him for saying that. He is a true champion in my book!

Link?

I didn't hear about this. But Big Ben is a class act, especially under pressure.

It was on Letterman last night.

I heard today the ref's were being investigated. Have not found a valid source yet.

At the gym tonight, on espn, they were looking at clips of many football games from this season and discussing the ref problem.

I saw Letterman. Ben said he didn't think he crossed the goal line until the ref signaled. He also said he told Cowher he didn't think he crossed it. He gained my respect for that.

This entire post season has been full of bullsh** calls and blatant turning a blind eye to penalties by the refs. It wasn't unique to SBXL, if you believe there were bad calls. Would any of the post season screw up's by the refs changed any outcomes, probably not, but who knows. IMO, it needs to be looked into, even if it means delaying games for more reviews and or having every TD reviewed by the box.

Here's the link Katy.

With a leader like this on your team, you will probably win a few more Super Bowls.

He's still not as hot as Tom Brady, but certainly someone to admire.

American football is the game with the most rules in the world. It is truly a game of inches. The bottom line on that call the ref has a split second to decide if, in fact, the ball crossed the plane of the goal line. He called it a touchdown. On review of the play there has to be indisputable evidence in order to overturn a call. Clearly, from any camera angle there wasn't enough evidence to say he didn't score.

I have watched football for most of my life and I will tell you that complaining about the refs is useless. The NFL has made the game so intricate and so defined as to what can and cannot happen and what must happen for a play to be called a play. They are caught in their own trap. They make the rules so specific that instant replay is damn near a necessity. We, as spectators, have the luxury of watching plays at a fraction of their speed and from many camera angles. Getting on the refs because they have to make snap decisions in the blink of an eye is unreasonable. They are human and bound to make mistakes... somehow the perception of the refs has become that of a god-like figure that is all seeing and all knowing. That just isn't the case.

So, complain about the refs all you want but remember that the next time you have to make a snap decision and it ends up being the wrong one.
