Back in the day, or my day, I drove a VW Camper. Man what a ride. 0-60 in like 37 seconds. But there was an X-rated drive-in theatre close by and me and my honey (or "a" honey) attended regularly. Popcorn, picnic food, beer, etc., a bed in the back, LOL. But I digress.
The heat was useless so in the winter time I installed one of those portable LP heaters. Kept it warm but it also put out noxious fumes (or at least unpleasant) and also tended to fog up the windows. I got some oxygen masks from the pharmacy and ran hoses out the window so passengers and I could breathe fresh air, and every 5 or so minutes would have to open the window to clear the condensation. it worked, but obviously had its limits. The looks I got while driving with masks on were pretty funny.
I also had a car phone long before they were common. In fact at a time when they were still rare, fairly expensive and considered something of a status symbol. I bought a phone for like a quarter at a yard sale and then snipped off the the handset with cord and taped that to my dashboard. If I pulled up to a light next a good looking woman I'd pull out the phone and begin an imaginary conversation. I just know they were all very impressed - NOT!!! But it was really good for a laugh.
But getting to the point of my post...
I also installed a little toggle switch in the dash and put a label underneath it that said "Grenade Launcher." When some idiot driver pulled a boneheaded stunt I'd start flipping the switch. Pity it was just a ruse.
