Mod 11,*

"system" now there is a "system" we have to be consider?

Totally unreasonable!

I thought he was referring to the foolproof blackjack system we use at the Bellagio to pay the bills here. What happens on CM...

Amen Quiver. I think for the most part.... the mods have been fairly partisan, friendly, helpfull and done a good job.

You know ... it was just a string of topics where I decided to be a complete bitch, I guess. I don't know what I was thinking.

To add to my story, I was never actually put on moderation. I was sent a very polite message by a moderator. In truth, the moderator's actions were ... well ... very moderate. If I was the moderator, I probably would have sent something like:

LOOK CAITLYN: There are many wonderful boards on Collarme, none of which are labeled, "Lets Trash Other People's Lifestyle!" You may consider that intentional."

/nods

Been there, done that...had that done to me also. I have had the moderators a couple times ask me to umm, tone myself down a bit , and like Caitlyn, I think that they were being extremely nice by just asking me.

If the TOS requires you to dress in fuzzy bunny slippers and a Barney costume and type with your nose in order to post on the forums... that is what they require. If you don't do as they have outlined then they have every right to ban your stupid ass from the site that they are giving you for free.

erm...Gauge?....

have you been spying on me?...

Barney costumes would be a HARD LIMIT - can we add that to the interest list?

========

a "blackjack" comes from the past...it's a leather made device to thump people on the head...cops had em for years and so did the old gangsters and the olde time sailors.

ya thump em and they are out cold..
thusly you can rob em blind when they wake up later with an enormous headache.

Now see, I just would have said "Caitlyn, you are being a bitch. Cut that out or you will make me hard/wet."

This is off topic, but I am a little distressed by the new avatar. It makes it hard to recognize you.

I do not have enough hours in the day to devote to all parts of the site that I am involved in but I do read all my messages, I do speak with the other moderators on an almost daily basis and if someone has a complaint about something I almost always investigate it. What type or if any disciplinary action is taken if a moderator or anyone else does anything wrong is no one else's business. The same way it is no one else's business if a user receives a warning or anything else. If someone has a complaint about a moderator they can always send me a note about it (preferably with links and exact quotes so I don't have to spend hours digging around). I understand that not everyone will always agree with our decisions and we do make mistakes on occasion.

This a very moderately mod response and quite reasonable. Here I would have said:

Just because YOU find something objectionable does not always mean we will agree. When contacted via email, we will definitely take the time to look at the material and make a judgement call as soon as we return from the Mini-Mart or finish clipping our toenails. Removal or deletion of posted material is at the discretion of the administrators and moderators. While we try to be consistent, some days we may just be a little more easily irritated than others. We make no apologies for this and do not wish to hear any crybaby whinings about censorship or unfairness. This is a privately owned and operated web site and therefore free speech absolutism takes a backseat to the personal preferences of those who devote their time and energy to running the site. I will listen to complaints regarding a moderator, but I am not obligated to report back. What happens in the family, stays in the family.

Kind of, it's leather covered. The 'payload' that does the thumping is a sizeable chunk of lead or a sack of lead shot, usually affixed to the end of a spring for a nice whipping action before contacting the melon.

Some cops still have them but it's a lot easier to carry a flat sap these days since it doesn't make quite a noticible bulge in the back pocket. I inherited my step-fathers blackjack when he retired from the state police. It's quite a conversation piece

Blackjacks were at times filled with sand. However a sock one quater filled with damp sand molds itself over the cranium very well and is cheaper. Also the expandable battons are a boon, I can attach mine to a shoulder holster harnes with or without the holster being attached and it doesn't buldge the suit but comes ito my hand nicely.... I just need to make a telescopic cattle prod and carry it the same way to deal with unruley slaves.

Except for a recent 6 mo. hiatus, I've been on this site for at least 3 yrs and have never seen an unfair moderator. I am wondering if the OP has read the TOS and knows why the moderators do what they do.

Okay either you had a different name (which I seem to vaguely and dimly remember something to that effect a few years ago, or am I dreaming that up? lol) or you need to get them to fix your join date! hehe!

Good to see you around again, you threadjerker you! *grin*

I think the Moderators on this site do a pretty good job overall...

as for posters who compain about others... or topics that mention children... why don't they have sections on here for topics like that? The people who want to discuss those things, can do it... and for those who are not interested... they can just not visit those sections...

"pertaining to the lifestyle"? In my opinion, everything can/does pertain to the lifestyle... because it's a lifestyle.

If someone has to change screen names every few days, and feel you are constantly being attacked, insulted, ridiculed, persecuted, etc. you may want to take a good look at their own personality. If one feels that they have to complain because they do not recieve the responses they want and thinks that means everyone else has to change, they may want to consider that if everyone thinks you sound like an ass, it might not be everyone else's problem.
