JonnieBoy -> February 7th 2009 (5/27/2009 5:09:15 PM)

I got married this year (on February 7th), during the chaos and confusion one man stood forward and volunteered his assistance from 4,500 or so miles away. Without his supreme effort and determination to help us with communications and tech stuff, things might have been very different.

Well we got 'round to spending some face to face time together this last week and all I can say is ... what a blast! ... what an honest bloke! ... what a good mate! ... what a total fucking loony! (spending two hours rallying the lanes of the Scottish borders with me driving {at no more than the legal speed ... honestly officer} and still grinning from ear to ear certainly qualifies him as that).

(and ... no ... I'm not just saying this as a means to keep the more "risque" photo's out of circulation! [sm=evil.gif])

FourQ ... what a legend!

Le Sigh.  I am envious, darling Pirate.  Did you get those pics I wanted?  You know where to send 'em! [8D]

*hugs to Pirate and FourQ*

Sounds like you two had a blast!!!  [:)]

GreedyTop -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/27/2009 9:48:11 PM)

I'm so glad you two got to hang out...  I'm looking forward to my chance!

purepleasure -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/28/2009 7:00:17 AM)

It figures that Pirate would do first, what so many of us wedding attendees would love to do!  I'm glad you had such a good time together.  Soooooo.... just HOW fast were you going?   LOL

*adores Jonnie and Q* (in totally friendly-older sister manner)

What ... the official version? ... or the truth (which may not be suitable for posting here) ?

Clue ... Ever seen the "Dukes Of Hazard" ? [sm=evil.gif]

Having a totally friendly older sister like you sounds like a great idea, I'm looking forward to the "family reunion" too !

Yay how awesome that you finally got to meet.  I am very jealous  [:)]

FourQ -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/29/2009 12:50:58 PM)

I've just been tipped off about this thread.

Let me be the first to add that Jonnie is the most decent man I've met for a long long time.  Sure, he's a big bloke but how the hell his heart fits in even such a large frame is beyond me.  He spent time with Little Og before he went on his holidays and dedicated time to spending with myself.

"Having a blast" doesn't come close to defining the time we had together.  It was an epic time and one that everyone should share.

As friends will confirm, I've already told a handful of people that it's not quite the same without him around.  He's brightened up my days and given me the opportunity to enjoy myself in these dire times.  Hell, we even managed to get some work done together!

His knowledge of cider is legendary and he certainly knows his onio... apples.  A knowledgeable, honourable and decent man and the world could do with a few more like him.

Again, thanks for a brilliant time.  Even if we did have to watch our P's and Q's (Pirate and Q)

Yes ... but it's difficult to remember the knowledge when you have a few good pints at hand [sm=evil.gif].

And I wouldn't have missed the fun day "storming castles" with little Og.Especially Holy Island and Lindisfarne after hours.

Great fun.  Oddly enough that family still haven't e-mailed me for that photo.

ReverendJim -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/30/2009 3:09:04 PM)

Holy Island? I hope you took time to pay your respects.

FourQ -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/30/2009 4:57:32 PM)

I always pay my respects when I'm there.
The last time I was there (prior to Pirate's visit) I rode the Kwak through the sea as the tide had started to come in.  Believe me, six inches of sea coming in at five knots is not conducive to motorcycle riding.

FourQ -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/30/2009 6:38:34 PM)

I've added some photos to Pirate & Monkey's site.  You can now see Pirate at Holy Island in front of Lindisfarne Castle.
Enjoy, I'm off to relax.

KMsAngel -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/31/2009 8:27:09 AM)

holy island, not an angel in sight and the fires of hell licking at their boots.....

haven't you two heard, never ride faster than your angel can fly??[:)]

JonnieBoy -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/31/2009 12:44:53 PM)

Angel Of The North Any Good ? [sm=evil.gif] ... Message me.

Pirate

FourQ -> RE: February 7th 2009 (5/31/2009 3:56:20 PM)

Known locally as the Angel of Death due to the number of road accidents it's caused. [8|]
