Caning Marks - 5/27/2009 6:32:07 PM

I have a question about caning, as I am new to this.  My Mistress has just recently begun caning me for punishment.  My first one was very light, but my last caning was 30 strokes with a rattan cane.  This was two weeks ago and the marks are still very visible.  About how long does it take for cane marks to fade away?

It's going to depend on the person... I have an ex who would have no marks in three/four days, no matter how intense the scene was, or how bad the marks initially looked. Another who'd have marks for two weeks or more no matter how light things were.

It's all a matter of how you heal.

It usually takes me around two weeks to fully heal... sometimes a bit less sometimes a bit more.  They go away eventually.

Most cane marks will disappear in about two weeks on me but I have cane stripes that are years old that have left very light scars and I have had marks that took months to heal.

It just depends where and how hard the strikes were, how sensitive your skin is, health, etc...

my Mistress keeps complaining that i dont mark easily enough. It usually takes quite a lot to mark me, and even then the marks fade in a day or two. 3-4 at the most. Saying that though there are two tiny marks (one on each hip) that are still there after 2 weeks. I think they are going to stay there though. They're from when the leather tip of the riding crop broke on one side so instead of the usual loop, there was a long strappy bit - Mistress now likes that crop very much.

It depends a lot on your skin and tissue, some people do bruise a lot easier than others, in general the more you work out and the fitter you are the less you tend to bruise.

A bruise is basically damaged capillaries, allowing blood to seep into the surrounding tissue, so by applying ice on the bruise you slow down the seeping process. There are a few things that do help with bruising or making bruises disappear a lot faster, sun (or sunbeds), wear a panty hose, the massaging effect of the way they are woven will also make the bruises disappear faster, arnica lotion also helps and changing your diet to more fruit.

Despite not bruising easily, I'm quite active and do a lot of sports and kickboxing and some inline skating stunts tend to leave you with plenty of bruises, handy to know how to minimize bruising especially in the summer, they do tend to spoil the way a mini-skirt or shorts look ;)

I am new and my only two caning sessions were well over 30 marking strikes.  It's all a matter of perspective perhaps.

Not really. My second ever session i had over forty. The one after that i lost count but was over fifty anyway. It all depends on your Dom/me and how you take pain. There's always the safeword if it is really getting too much. The way i look at it is 'take what you can, no matter whether your a newbie or experienced'. Besides, at the begining of a relationship your Dom/me needs to know what to reasonably expect of you. All with prior warning and talk of course - as a switch I would never lash into a new sub without plenty of prior discussion.

Depends on the person and whether the marks are from bruising or broken skin.

Alandra rarely marks for a long period of time.  However, she has marks from when he caned her about a year ago.
