This really bothers me too. i grew up knowing that when i went into the city(NYC) to see a show, it was expected to be dressed appropriately. Recently, some friends and i went to see a couple shows and there were people in jeans and hoodies. It was a "hot" mess. i'm not sure what's happened, but i've seen it in lots of places. Dr's offices, taking their um's to birthday parties, job interviews, church, just about anywhere; people are dressing "down" more and more. Realizing there are special cases, (it's not about those who have little means) for most of us, there is sufficient cash to change out of the outfit you use for bush-hogging the homestead, before you go to see the touring company's production of "Jersey Boys"...just sayin'.
