This also goes to another point, it is that country/society they are in that upholds those rights. Those rights were usually won with violence, and as a last resort they can only be protected by violence. Social pressures can be used, and often are in modern times, but we still see many countries who have different cultures that use violence to attempt to enforce their rights. quote:
