I am giving up on trying to get vanilla women into domming me. But I haven't had any luck with meeting dominant women. Where should I be looking? (I realize this question has probably been asked before but...)

Since I haven't had ANY luck online, I'd reccommend local munch groups or workshops, because sometimes personality can replace 1000 words. There are some real Dommes on here, but the real ones are usually here on forums, most of the other ones on CM are professionals, fakes, or have 100 subs (exagerating).

My advice is: At collarme, at munches and lifestyle events where you become involved and get to know people face to face (something I am currently working on). Decide what domination and submission mean to you so that you can find someone who belives in similar definitions. Don't forget above advice of putting your best foot forward and not writing to women about your fantasies unless/until she says she wants to hear all about them. M

LOL @ Domme Depot Yes it has been asked a lot and by making your first post on CM a pick-up post you may have shot yourself in the foot as far as Dommes here go. I'd suggest hanging out, reading and listening, using the SEARCH function - then deep six this ID and start again. You can't just blow into town and expect instant action. "Do me" subs are a bore. Look for threads on what Dommes want and don't want, what a profile should contain, how to present yourself. Take lots of time (weeks or months). Identify those Dommes who have the qualities you seek and learn what pleases Them. Most importantly, know yourself and your real needs before you get embroiled in any action. Most bad experiences come from blundering into situations because you don't have a clear idea of what you need or what the other person is offering.

If you are just looking to experience play (which is what your profile implies), your best bet is to seek a local prodomme. If you are looking for something more lifestyle oriented (assuming you are single and able to be in the lifestyle), then spend some serious time learning about all this, and get involved in your local scene. Personal relationships will take time and effort to build.

Do weights and work out lots till you look like Jaun Claude Van Dam cos thats a way your going to get attention from Dommes. Its not like normal Vanilla dating where all you need is just an attractive nice face, good personality, to be young, ambitious, good sense of humour, interesting and have career goals.

I got advice from a male dom yesterday about finding people who have the same interest. He suggested blogging to me. I have not tried this yet but when I am not feeling lazy I am going to look right into it. You are right in that it's not like vanilla dating, but although looking hot will get you attention, it takes more than looks to close the deal. Although his picture did catch my eye as he looked mighty hot in it (IMHO), I chose to make him my boy based on his intellect, his spirituality, his attitude, and the fact that his definition of d/s matches mine. If he'd not had those qualities, no matter how physically attractive he was, I'd have wished him good luck in his search and kept on with mine. Phoenix

I personaly dislike that look; don't get me wrong, I do like a strong man, but I am definitely not among the women who fawn over men who look like they spend too much time at the gym... I like a more natural look if you will, even if with the help of the gym. As a matter of fact my vanilla exes were all physically hotter/younger (no offense intended, but true) than the subs I've dated thus far, but that didn't make the subs any less valuable or lovable to me. If you have something to offer and something to bring into the relationship, it might be best to state that in your ads. :)
