What a way to get the judge to reduce a sentence for "mitigating circumstances."

trappedinamuseum -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/7/2009 5:43:46 PM)

I would like to say something snarky, but all I can come up with is that I hope he gets an honorable mention in the "Darwin Awards".

DarkSteven -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/7/2009 5:45:53 PM)

I can understand awarding the dog a medal, but not reducing the guy's sentence.

sujuguete -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/7/2009 5:51:34 PM)

I loved the comment after the article by nolaroger:  "The dog should get a medal, and be allowed to complete the job he started."

If the guy stabbed a woman, then stabbed a dog and is now in prison presumably bent over...his sentence will carry an extra tariff sooner or later anyway.

soul2share -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/8/2009 6:32:44 PM)

Well, look at it this way...if the bite was as severe as he wants folks to think, then maybe he's been taken out of the gene pool.......?  Personally, I'm with the poster that commented that the dog should be allowed to finish the job.....

DesFIP -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/8/2009 6:35:18 PM)

They rejected the plea of self defense but punished the victim by shortening the sentence of the attacker because she was protected instead of being killed by him? Hope that judge gets speedily removed from the court system.

PanthersMom -> RE: A Reduced Sentence (6/8/2009 6:58:58 PM)

which movie was that, the sandlot?  the one where the owner supposedly gave the dog the command "sic balls!"  maybe the judge could use a lesson in justice too, since when is a perp allowed to be a victim as well?  the dog was doing what he was supposed to do, the jerk should have gotten extra for stabbing the dog!

I am not sure if they have psycho group like PETA in Sweden.   But, yes he probably should be tried for animal crualty as well.

This makes no sense to me. The judge sounds like a complete nutjob.
