Beautiful... One of the best I've seen -- I just wish it locked/clasped in the back... If it did, I'd buy one too.

Status: offline 		Purty. I have one like that, but non-twisted, that I bought in Mexico. I'd like to modify it such that it locks, but eh.

I'm one of the ones that wears a choke chain day to day. But then, I have a dressed up lock so it looks like a unique, quirky necklace.

To me this neckless if worn for extended periods could cause irritation with an open back like that.

Persoanally, I don't like the style and I wouldn't want to wear it everytime I left the house. I would go with something a bit heavy and something more everyday, like links of some sort and a maybe special trinket ingraved with your initials, a heart or whatever in the back.

thanks for the reposnses from everyone, since she works with several family members who she is not out to, we tend to make choices which help keep them in the dark, since I have celtic leanings in some aspects and the torque is meant to be worn like a collar I thought it might make an interesting choice

I guess it depends on what you see a collar as being. To me a collar is an object representing being owned which means its locked and never is removed (barring a medical emergency or release).

Not as much a matter of hiding as it is being pratical. She has friends who know, but her family doesn't know this part of our relationship. She works in a family business, part of which she is in charge of. It was bad enough a short time back that she had a boss/worker talk with her sibling which turned into a sister fight. Adding this knowledge to the mix would not be in her best interest for certain situations.

Some could have career difficulties if known. There was an earlier thread about a professor who was basically run out of his job. High school/elementary school teachers might have the same problem. Known community figures, etc. There was also an earlier thread about "being found out" and many posted to it why it was in their best interest to keep this element of their lives away from family, friends, jobs. Everyone has their reasons.

As for me, it would not be practical to be sitting in a Board meeting with a dog collar around my neck. i think it would detract from the agenda....

Status: offline 		I actually go more for the meaning versus the "look", when I placed the boy under My training collar--I knew something tight would not work (he is really tall and really big--)--so I purchased a nice smooth silver chain and medallion-- the medallion has the never ending circle (symbol of the collar)--and the pentagram-- (the symbol of Venus and My spiritual beliefs)--it really means a lot to him---
