The GOP has taken control of the Senate in the great State of New York. The Democrats held it for just under 5 months. A sign of things to come...

Pretty desperate. The NY Senate has been Republican for years and years and years. It took a barely achieved Democrat narrow seat majority for a few months vacation, and went back, narrowly. The Assembly is overwhelmingly Democratic.

Nothing new here. Business as usual in our dysfunctional state government.
