In the mid 90s I spent a bit over 5 years in what I thought was the Victorian Lifestyle.  Instead it was the "Victorian" of reenactors and BDSM's and was Not Lifestyle.  Recently, a person I admired greatly cracked the door open for me to see that there was an actual lifestyle, but was unable to continue working with me.  I left the bdsm world because I felt like I didn't fit, but I was called back.  What I've learned is that it is the Victorian Lifestyle (with the bdsm aspect) world that is calling me, more so than the bdsm world.  I'm 59, and know who I am and where I belong, but don't know how to get there.  In this I'd sincerely like some help.

I'm not seeking information about Victoriana, I have quite enough of that already.  And I'm not seeking to read of other homes in other countries.  What I am seeking is someone from one of the houses here in the U.S. (preferably NC) to see if I might be able to offer some "new blood" to them, for help in growing and training my own small family in an acceptable manner.  .

Thank you sincerely!

I mean this sincerely.  You seem to have a fairly clear idea of what you want... whatever you wish to call it.  What's preventing you from simply creating that yourself?  Why do you need someone else to work with and "open the door" so to speak?  Is it some need to be part of a larger group an be recognized by them?

Perhaps you've hit the nail on the head.  And with that said, you're correct ........ while I'd like to have had a mentor, it isn't necessary to have a happy, enjoyable life!  I'd had it in my mind to accomplish something very particular, but that can't work now, so I'm regrouping.  At this stage of my life I don't need drama and complications, but the graciousness, beauty and peacefulness I can build for myself.

Thanks for the nudge..... I needed that.

Glad what I said helped... sometimes those nudges we need come from very unexpected places.

If you need a mentor, or would just like one, why does it have to be in real life? As has already been mentioned, you could write Iron Bear. He's the expert on Victorian houses around here.

There are a number of people in the BDSM world who are interested in a Victorian lifestyle, but (in my experience) they tend to be spread out quite a bit, so there are few "houses" that have formed.
