In a way you have to consider OK- en total.  The way they think and act.    My hunch is that folks in other states pointing the finger will back fire.   Let the okies point the finger and they will.  But they wont if the other states gang up over this.

OK said no to the NAFTA highway.  If fact OK- said NO to alot things the globalists want.

I am fairly confident that the powers that be in that county can remedy the problem.     Ya know- there is a reason why Mcveigh was allowed to bomb the murrah building with help of the feds.....   because OK- was becoming too defiant to the fed.!!!!

The outrage will back fire.  Let the okies handle it.   Let the process run its course.   Once the final remedy on their end is out- then re-examine the issue.

The vid was short on details.  No history- no motive.

Nice try.  "Over the past 50 years" clearly implies up until now.  It was less than 10 years ago that news came out about rampant police corruption in the Rampart Division of Los Angeles, New Orleans PD (remember the FBI recording of a NOPD officer ordering the hit on a prostitute for filing a abuse complaint against him?), the infamous broomstick sodomizing incident of a immigrant in a NYPD station house, and many others.

You're the one that seems to be living in the past.  You seem to believe that all police officers are like Joe Friday on Dragnet.

Actually, it was yours that was a 'nice try.' Go on....pick out more isolated incidents and apply them to all cops. I'm just on my way now to go get sodomized in a jail cell. After that, I plan on driving by some cops so they can just pull me out of my car and beat me for no reason. It will be tough though, since they pull out and beat everyone for no reason, traffic will be backed up. It will take some time before they get to my car.

Yeah, Loki, they are lol.  I personally have watched the interrogation.  They simply smile and say why yes Officer i will help you identify who robbed that poor Man's home and now he feels violated and afraid in his own home.   I saw one who felt so awful he made a list and statements of all the crimes he was involved in and didn't even ask for a deal and said you know i did wrong please place upon me the most consequence you can as i shouldn't have done what i did.  It was wrong.  The OP himself has stated even his own friend who scammed some guy out of $1200 was very responsible and followed the dictates of the court when they gave her probation.  I mean geesh criminals are just so forthcoming and cooperative.  My favorite idea is honor among thieves.

Revises in keeping with the post -- ohh and we are all aware of all the criminals who thank the jury and judge who just convicted and sentenced them graciously.

Thank you Vampz, you understand.  I don't hate the police.  I hate the authoritarian society that we are becoming because of fear.  I have zero respect for people that take an oath to defend the Constitution, than completely disregard it at every turn.

When someone says, why don't you complain about criminals?  Well....they are criminals.  I expect criminals to act like criminals.  I expect the police to act like public servants.  When they don't, it causes me to be outraged.

I don't believe that non-violent criminals belong behind bars.  I know that many disagree with me, but that's my opinion.  I find it sickening that we lock up more people than any country in the world.  We incarcerate more people than China; an authoritarian, communist state.  China has a population over a billion, over 3 times our population.  But they still don't have as many people rotting in prison.  It's disgraceful, and we should be ashamed that we allow such a state of affairs.

Don't feel bad for being new. But no, the OP isn't just expressing justified rage toward a bad cop. He's expressed hatred for all of them while saying he cares more about criminals than the people they hurt (so long as the criminal, ya know, didn't kill the victim). In his view, criminals should have the run of things as long as they never throw a punch. I mean if they empty your house, but don't touch you....then so be it. Clearly they must be good people. But if a cop doesn't dot an I or cross a T...they are thugs who shouldn't have a badge.

Panda, seeing that i believe the only reason this OP posted this thread was to somehow validate his own ideas about cops and his continuous generalization of same, its completely relevant.  ...  However, i have seen what people DO to other people both non-violent and violent way to much to excuse them as he does.  When i advocate cops it doesn't mean i advocate BAD cops.  However, the OP generalizes alll cops which to me is what puts ALL cops in danger and ya know what, that is why so many cops are hurt in the line of duty -- but i guess that's oh well.  .

Ah. OK. Yeah, sorry, Angel, I see where you're coming from now. You do have a point. I've been as disturbed as you by some of SB's previous posts regarding his friend. But regardless of his posting history, what these cops did was outrageous and inexcusable. It's a worthwhile thread, IMO.

Nope, not me Vampz.  I have the accent, so I'm told.  But I'm a libertarian to the bone.  I think freedom and civil rights take a higher priority than safety.  The illogical desire to give up rights for safety is the mark of a coward.

barelynangel -> RE: Oklahoma Cops Attack Paramedics (6/13/2009 6:34:52 PM)

I think if anyone did this to an ambulance enroute to a hospital it would be news worthy.   If the cop did wrong, then i am all for him being disciplined or fired whatever is decided.  They place him on adminstrated paid leave due to the fact they are investigating instead of saying OMG YOU ARE OUTTA HERE.  This is probably in the union contract (you can thank all the unions lol for this idea probably) and how the investigation was outlined in the discipline section of the union contract.  So people can also thank the unions for how discipline is handled in police departments.  This is also a concept people fail to consider when generalizing al cops -- most cops exist within a union which in terns negotiates things for cops and therefore, when you do get a BAD cop, because of what is negotiated many times the adminstrative portion has hands tied while things are followed based on the contract.  Just as when you have a bad employee but you are stuck at what you can do by a union contract. Personally,i think unions should be booted out but thats a whole other thread lol.

It's unfortunate that your logical flaw is in your own mind so deeply. That means you will never see it.

What people have been talking about in these threads is not the loss of rights. It's about the laws set forth by the PEOPLE and those who the PEOPLE choose to enforce those laws. Complying with a cop's instructions robs you of nothing. If it turns out the cop was wrong, you will get off, or he may even be punished. There is no loss of rights. Yet you refuse to see that when you spout your rhetoric.

I can't decide which group is more sad....the tinfoil hat wearing crowd looking to the skies, or the ones who enjoy the freedoms of this country (who have never defended them) and who constantly fear everything that represents authority.

Government employees don't have union contracts.  The FOP is not a union technically.  Yes, they do act as advocates for police officers, but they are not a true union.

You're a little new here, Loki.  You don't know my overall views.  I'm not a conspiracy, tin foil hat wearing nut.  I am rebellious, and I don't trust the government.  If you'd read a little of your American history, you'd understand that our system was set up to always scrutinize government authority.  It only works when people take an active role in the process.  When you become a follower rather than a participating citizen you are giving up your rights.  When you trust government authorities to do the right thing, you are giving up your power as a citizen.

GR

I would imagine there are still details that need to be revealed here, but either way, I see misconduct and buffoonery on the part of the cops.  If the EMT did something wrong, arrest his ass, name the charge, and call 911 for the person in the ambulance, otherwise get the fuck out of the way, and let him get this person to the hospital.  The injured person should be the priority, if indeed there really IS an injured person in there.  I didn't see any of the cops looking in there to see, but maybe I missed something.

Vampz -> RE: Oklahoma Cops Attack Paramedics (6/13/2009 7:00:05 PM)

To question authority doesn't equate w/ fear. Seems unreal to think you are suggesting Slaveboy is scared. Oh dear.

Only thing we can for sure see is clearly he is not a lemming.
~~~~~~~~
Slaveboy, humm, have to wonder if all can't be done in safe manner. Reversing several of the Bush/Cheney Privacy Act laws would help. Basically they played on peoples fear emotions and wham... Problem we too often see is people who sit and comment well if you aren't doing anything wrong why should it matter if Uncle Sam wants to look see ones library habits. They seem to overlook the question= Why does Uncle Sam want to see that info and why is he collecting it? FFS their technology isn't good enof that they tell us to watch our neighbors...
LoL, well off topic aren't I? Sorry~
Here's one from your State Slaveboyforyou.   http://www.policepay.net/ListContractsByState.asp?SelState=Arkansas  Maybe its simply a hoax.   Now i don't know much but it looks pretty much like many union contracts my law firm was involved with in the 5 years i worked in employment labor law right down to dues etc.
