That is what he says, but he does not feel that Jewish settlers should be restricted from expansion in some areas. If there is a two state solution, then Israel needs to stop expansion into areas they shouldn't.

Yes he is. He supports a two state solution, but promotes the taking of more territory. I suppose that is having the cake and eating it too? With this kind of political double standards, there will never be peace in that region.

       Hehehehe...  You mean like the Palestinians negotiating with a country they won't acknowledge has a right to exist?

      Of course there will be peace in the region, someday, Orion.  When one side, or maybe both sides, are dead.

Netanyahu has outmanouevered the Palestinians here whilst appearing to stay onside with Obama and not mess up his hardman image at home - after all, how are they meant to react to such an "offer"? And how are they meant to point out the obvious duplicity of his "offer" without appearing to be disinterested in a resolution, even if that duplicity is patently obvious? Any right minded response from them, and indeed further intervention by Obama et al, now looks like the Israelis are being picked on.

Very clever. Much more clever than the comments made by the Israeli spokesperson regarding Obama's Cairo speech that are the subject of the other thread.

this is a lip service ploy to stave off the inevitable if the Israeli's don't comply: US cuts off their cash flow.
