I have just modified my keyboard, I popped off the windows, ctrl, alt keys from the right and the windows and caplock key from the left. I also popped off the insert key.

However I do use the left ctrl key for copying but it seems to have another function, which seems to delete my typing, everything. I could type for a frikken half hour and it's all gone. I can't remove these other keys because I use them.

Is there somewhere I can disable all the functions except for certain ones ? This is getting pretty fucking annoying.

Right click the mouse.

....firefox browser might have features- you like.

...on XP one can also bring up as a window- a keyboard ON the screen.   ....the online keyboard can be great-  but this assumes the mouse works.

I did something in vista accidently and ended up with buttons having to be pressed in a sequence for anything to happen, I think it was one of the accessibility functions, you might have that in XP. The annoying thing is, when using the buttons normally, the computer bleeps at me in disgust and forces the sequential approach. I know about the deleting text, I have sloppy hands from time to time, usually pre coffee, the accessibility function has stopped me accidently deleting things before.

I miss XP.    Vista - ....while it no longer crashes- reminds me of AOL in wanting to control what I look at.   (settings -etc)
