I was laced really tight for 3 hours, and I didn't know a thing about should unlace slowly, well when the corset came off I almost fell down, the let down of having all that support taken off was that great. Well today* 3 days after* my back, down low and on the sides is sensitive achy and hurty. Now it's normally not uncomcon for me to be achy, I do have a bad back. But on the tails of being laced so tight then unlacing to quickly?Do you suppose it's just a coincidence? and yes I am keeping an eye on weather it begins to hurt worse, or consistantly for days, and I will talk to my dr, if I become very  concerned.

My first concern would be if there is swelling or discoloration in the area?  Other than that, I would simply watch it over the next day or so.  If it doesn't get better, or even gets worse...see your doctor.  Better safe than sorry.

LdyWintershade, No,no swelling or discolorations. I have back problems quite regularly since falling off a horse twice and damaging the muscles some years back so it's hard to tell what's normal every day shits and moans or serious ones though.

Just a thought...

Your posture was altered while you were wearing the corset.
If you were in a not quite straight position when you were laced you might have stressed some of your back muscles; plus you could have pulled them when you were unlaced so quickly as it sounds like you got off balance.

angelika I did I almost fell down, for lack of better way to describe it. the surprise of being free from the corset was so great. I mean one moment here you are laced up and supported, then suddenly all that support is gone and the let down of that support is very supprising.

I attended a corset demo a couple years ago and if I remember correctly, you should take it off very slowly. She also suggested having someone there to help and have them hug you and help your body go back into shape. Now I am not sure if this was because it was really helpful or she just like the idea of hugging, but it seemed to make sense.

Here is her yahoo group, I am sure if you have any more questions, she would be the one to help.

Hope that helps.

Well, keep an eye on it and see if it improves.  However, if it doesn't I still think you should see your doctor.  Good luck and I hope everything works out. :)
