I've been corresponding with this dom from Nigeria for a couple of weeks. He's a witch doctor and apparently (accoridng to many people in his village) is quite good at magic. However recently he's said that in order for me to prove that I am a true submissive he would like to kill me and raise me from the dead.

Is this something I should do?

Now during the time I am dead, would my submission be consensual? And what if he fails to raise me from the dead? Would I still be collared, or released?

Any thoughts or comments?

I've actually played with a woman I met on CM who practices Voudon. We've had fascinating conversations. And, yes, it originated in Nigeria and Ghana, before moving to Haiti and New Orleans. (Here, "moving" means "moving as the result of the forced inhuman relocation of slaves.)

Anyway, you put it this in General, and not P&RS, so I suppose I'll be a dick and take your post seriously. She believes that Voudon may be the world's least understood and most demonized religion. I think she has a point. Ideas like witch doctors and zombies are a 1930s Hollywood King-Kong movie sort of thing. Real followers of Voudon practice ancestor worship, care of one's community, and other "nice" things you'd expect from any religion that has survived for hundreds of years.

So I think you probably are talking to a scammer based in Los Angeles, and not a true Nigerian spiritual leader. So be careful. You might die and come back as a valley girl with a fetish for fuzzy pink handcuffs.

It's been rumored that he keeps his subs in wooded areas off the highways. Most of them appear to be deceased or comatose. However, it could be a deep trance he has put them in. Except for the ones that the bodies have decayed beyond recognition. Those are pretty much dead. Or subs that he has decided are not loyal enough to him to reclaim from the dead.

Damn Stella, before I can try to help I need to ask a few things. Which type does he practice.... African diaspora, Louisiana Voodoo of New Orleans, Santería and Arará of Cuba, or Candomblé and Umbanda of Brazil?

Well, it sounds feasible, there ARE a few issues to consider:

1. What if you aren't dead, but badly maimed or in a coma--does that not mean you are fake and have grossly oversold your intentions to indeed kick the bucket?

2. It might be advisable next to your medical information to have also your safewords written.

3. Now if you rise from this coma, I think you would be considered a fake as you didn't really expire OR the Dom could be seen as a fake because he only half killed you, thereby only had to half raise you--leaving the scene incomplete and you filled with subdrop.

4. If you do not expire, you could be seen as a bratty topping from the bottom submissive and be dismissed, half alive and all.

5. Now if he succeeds in this endeavor and you obey and expire being the true submissive who follows all commands, one needs to be sure that after that great climax he doesn't fall asleep and leave you wanting for too long or all bets are off.

6. So he stays awake, brings you back from the dead, you are now a zombie and everyone knows how damn strong willed they are, so collaring would not be a good idea as you'd never behave and well-- how does one punish a zombie? Talk about major masochists.
