Sanity please explain to me how this is new.Any Administration will consider getting out its message to be at the top of the to do list. Are you suggessting they are breaking new ground in their attempts to "spin" things...or are you suggessting they should be the very first Administration to not try to do so.

The premise of your questions is faulty, because you're (apparently) confusing me with Chip Reid, the CBS White House correspondent who along with Helen Thomas was trying to get a straight answer from Giggles the Clown in the video I linked to. Your questions would far more germane if asked of Reid or Thomas. Remember, I only posted the link, I wasn't the one grilling him like that over the issues you're trying to bring up. My question was, why can't Gibbs answer serious questions from the Washington press corps with a straight face.
