So, according to your logic, repeating a biblical passage that tells us not to judge others, constitutes being judgmental ?

In a word, yes.

In a word, whatever.

Of course you can't hurt him now.
But to state what should be obvious: many people are affected by his death.
Spilling your anger over onto them is not going to help anyone.

Some of you people have a serious lack of home training.

Do us both a favor.  If you aren't man enough (no women yet, but I use the word "man" generically) to say it on here, where your stupidity will be apparent to all, don't bother saying to me at all.

Unless, of course, you live close enough to take it outside...

Without reading all of this thread, all I want to do is make the following statement.   I am very sadden by the loss of Michael Jackson  My prayers are with his family at this time.
We have lost one talented entertainer.  He exhibited talent close to Elvis and Fred Estair.  He was truly a musical genius of this generation.
May he finally have peace that he longed for.

Respectfully,

Mistress_Jan

Nice post Roselaure. MJ was batshit crazy to be sure but he was also in large part responsible for making modern music what it is today... Modern dance even more so. He helped break down racial barriers as well.

BTW there really is a disease that makes black peoples' skin turn white. I forget what it's called but I used to know someone who had it.

I find the sorrow for him a bit strange.  Personally, I believe he is far better off without people in general after the way he has been treated.  I feel sorrow for me - because it's a loss of part of my history.  As an icon, he will always suffer people who are iconoclasts -  I don't really take much notice of such antics to let them touch me in a negative way -  it's only fear that makes people get all caught up in iconoclasm - sometimes envy.  I was going to avoid posting, because it's a pretty embaressing thread on the whole and it's definately made me question other peoples motives and my own integrity and the relationships and respect I have with others.   However, occurances like the passing of Jackson are great spring cleaning days... days of epiphany -  The reality is, there is no act that is more evil than another, regardless what people want to believe about hurting another.

Thank you for this wonderful post, is this Darcy?
You have stepped up in great form Darcy.

I am actually not surprised at the responses from many on this thread, not even a little bit.
But it can't bring those of us that love and adore MJ, down.
We should be too busy celebrating, the MJ parties are just starting and will last until
we are dancing on our walkers, and in our wheelchairs.

I am sending you and .thedark many huggles from across the pond.
I fucking adore you two, between you and .the dark, and Stella I am going to have to cross the pond.
M.J. had stated that his last public tour would be London, how fitting.
Many Brits appear to love Michael, and his shows were already sold out.
I am feeling and seeing a lot of love from the UK, and all over the world for the greatest entertainer.
One love Darcy and .the dark
You are a class act, as always.
But then, not responding - well - that would deny me the right of voicing my - hmmmmm.... regret is the wrong word because I believe his passing is pretty much a positive thing for his timeline - and sorrows the wrong word... loss doesn't cover it because he has been pretty silent for the past 10 years more.
I believe that, more than anyone else in a cultural sense, Jackson has highlighted just how evil and malicious people can be and has put under the spotlight just how flawed humanity really is - and just how unhappy - this thread being a fine example.  And I think that is what touches me the most about his death.

Hmmm...

I did.

It was about judging--or more precisely, not judging.

Not about taking some "Dom's" rude online bullshit.

I haven't found that verse yet.

Perhaps you could point me to it...?

i would never settle or pay someone off. It would have been a court battle...IF i was innocent.

And if my um was molested or raped, I would never settle out of court for any amount of money.

This is a cyclical argument that won't end because no one here knows all the facts. So stop pretending that you know he was guilty. No one knows either way except those ums and Michael. And Michael is dead.

Listen pal...it is my opinion that he was guilty. I do not give a dead rats ass that you do not agree.

What you really should do is accept that this is a public forum and others have opinions that differ from yours.

Nothing easier then that...he never bothered me...some of my friends went crazy about him 20 years ago and once we had to do a stupid dance at school to his song black or white... but his death does not affect me either way.

So everyone has a different take for different reasons.  We aren't hurting MJ now... so that leave him alone stuff means what?  How can we hurt him now?

It my be a forum, it might all come down to freedom of speach - but that doesn't mean that people are not accountable for their actions when issuing any form of hatred onto another... it's not just the object of hate that gets hurt by such cruelty.

People are totally entitled to their opinon.  And yes - people are correct - Jackson isn't really effected by peoples bad mouthing.  And the reality is - is family are unlikely to really be concerned - if a little upset if they came across peoples writings.

But what you are failing to realise or have any empathy with - is that people who consider you as friends are being hurt by your 'opinions'.  That some of these people are in no way able to deal with such grief that they have to go through in this as well as their own traumas and that you as individuals have a responsibility to those that call you friend to be there for them - and by being as adamant as you are that you have a RIGHT to be negative, that you have a RIGHT to take an opposite stance - you are hurting people or persons who considered you a friend or confidant.  That people are grieving and wanting to be able to grieve without being run down - you may never understand the impact that some famous person has on the life of someone whom they have never met - BUT it happens.  And if you can't be kind to Jackson - at least be kind to people who do have specific feelings for the man, or have had a sense of their own mortality highlighted because of his death.

Oh wait....someone shouldn't voice their opinion because their friend idolizes a celebrity? Why is their opinion any more valid than mine?
I think MJ is a freak. His music never appealed to me at all. If a friend of mine is so affected by my lack of enthusiasm for him then it's probably not a friendship, but more like a support group.

I suppose now isn't the time to tell the cute joke I heard yesterday....
Oh fuck it.
When Farrah got to heaven, God asked her what she wanted. She said she wanted all children on Earth to be healthy and happy.
So God took Michael.

Compliments of Chuck.
