This guy is actually reading the bill, not relying on some EPA Reader's Digest version. Nobody is going to really what a boondoggle this is until it is too late.

carbon IS life.  carbon ie life is now contraband!

This monetizes the environment to the point where if you don't dance for the bankers then you die.  Or don't get AC, and heat, or a box of cereal.

Life is NOT monetization.   People should cancel July 4th.    There is nothing to celebrate.

While running an errand I caught a few minutes of Rush this morning and he was saying that as a bow to Obama we had ought to change the official name of the upcoming holiday to Dependence day.

Seems fitting.

Well, if anybody knows about dependence, it's Rush Limbaugh, with his publicly-acknowledged dependence on pain pills!

Good example of US government at work. The bill  helps to conserve nature and energy and it will earn praise from globalists. It drives nasty polluting manufacturing jobs out of U.S.A. In addition, it shows who US government works for.
For me personally the bill is a little out of time. The "service economy" model for US developed in 1990-s raises doubts of  viability. If the financial sector (now 45% of the economy) can not be rescued things will get bad. This is why Obama government has dumped trillions into the finances.
So, my point is:
1) US government works for country's elites, poor can have some tax credits (if they are lucky to have a job),
2) The government is taking a risk passing such bills; in case the current economic system can not be patched up such moves
will make things worse and it will hurt the elites (plutocracy) as well.

You misunderstand. By "breathe" he meant freedom, and I'm pretty sure Bull was once an avid Obama believer.

This could mean trouble for the Democrat party...

You are correct about my meaning being about freedom (aka liberty); this is very, very important to me, and should be to all of us.

As for the man of a thousand faces, I have never been a "believer", only a hopeful, as I am with every man that aspires for greatness. I fear Pres. Obama's aspirations are no more genuine than any of the others. His motives and abilities are becoming more apparent with the coming of each setting sun. In fact I am increasingly suspicious of his actions and intent. He is much to slick and power hungry. I suggest we all watch his every move very closely. The Congress are only pawns on his chessboard. I suspect his strings are hooked to men of rather shifty intent.

I certainly hope I'm wrong!

We need lees government, Bull? Really?

Yes, really! It is obvious that Government is nothing more than the puppet of the wealthy you seem to hold contempt for. Neither side of this democratic process you are presently supporting is relevant beyond their cash cow. Who the fuck do you think B.O. was repaying with his hurry though “stimulus” package?
Your side of this charade is no more reputable than the side you so fervently quarrel against.
Personally I like to think I woke up to the displays of utter incompetence and protectionism that existed in Washington one behalf of both parties when they ran “Gopher”  Rep. Fred Grandy out of town and out of politics. He made an attempt to hold this “Good Ole Boys and Girls Club” accountable and it nearly ate him alive. That’s also the time I realized that America is most likely doomed to fail as a Republic. I’m certainly sorry that we appear to be failing Mister Franklin and company.  Rep. Grandy showed us with one example the utter waste, arrogance and incompetence that exist in D.C. and we just shrugged and were distracted by the next big flash in the pan.
If you need a big Government to protect you and keep you in line then as I mentioned Europe could use a few good men such as yourself.

We need less regulation of the Wall Street, you think? So that the conniving brokers there can keep trading "ghost derivatives"?

If someone was actually enforcing what regulations we have it would be fine. And I’m not open to making the government’s job at controlling us easier. Life’s hard for the rest of us, why should they have it easy.

quote:

Do we need less in the way of emergency services? That way we can ignore the NEXT American city that faces disaster too?

Making the government more efficient and making it bigger are not the same thing. You need to get out more and realize that no Government has ever offered greater freedom and liberty by increasing the amount of it’s control.

Come on dude, this isn’t rocket science.

What utter bullshit that GOP catchphrase is!

Mars, I eagerly await the day that you say something remotely closely resembles independent thought.
