Thanks everyone for the read, it was on line and unfinished at the time. I think it was back around '97 that I ran into it. The link above isn't the same story, albeit I haven't read much of it. Let me give you all a concise, but more detailed summary. Maybe it will jog a memory or two. At the time I read it, it contained 14 chapters, and the author was male. The story opens with the main character, in his late 20's, already in posession of his lottery winnings of a couple years ago. The setting is a mansion in the backwood of either eastern Tennessee or the western part of one of the Carolinas. At the opening, he is bemoaning his fate as he is all alone. Apparently his being a total jerk drove off all the domestic help that came with the mansion, save the cook who is the only one that wouldn't take crap from the guy and wormed her gruff way into his heart. She has recently died and he is dispondent. The story starts as he decides to place ads in various adult magazines advertsing for live in slaves. From the respondents he choses one from each ethnic group that has applied, and ends up with I believe 14 girls. The first girl to arrive, a chinese girl in her late teens from a wealthy family becomes his alpha girl and the harem's accountant. As each girl arrives, they are fitted into the group as whatever special talent they have emerges. Early on in the story, an underage prostitute joins the group and the main character takes her on as his ward, under the condition that she return to highschool and graduate. The rest of the story revolves around various instances that occur as each new girl comes into the group, how he handles the different personalities as they try to meld in with others, things that happen day to day, etc. It ends up reading almost like a weekly drama/sitcom (a bdsm version of will and grace?). In any event, I hope this might jog a memory or two and someone will say, "aha! I know right where that is." Thanks again for all of the help Josh
