ORIGINAL: harddaddy4u It's always interesting to read what the soft-headed, dull, bitter liberals on here (such as you, thatdamnedpanda) have to say about a classy lady like Sarah Palin. Her announcement wasn't rambling at all. She has more class and dignity in her little finger than any Democrat on the national scene. Democrats in Alaska, what few there are, have been harassing her with one ethics complaint after another, all of which distract from her ability to do her job as governor, and more importantly, waste precious tax dollars and human resources. But then, that is a typical liberal ploy. She is simply unwilling to allow those liberal simpletons to continue to waste her time, money and energy (and that of the state of Alaska) by filing endless moronic ethics complaints (all of which have been tossed out after being reviewed as being groundless). In other words, she is a true public servant, who is willing to step down for the good of her state, although she is well loved there. You see, thatdamnedpanda (and other dull liberals who irrationally hate this woman), she actually sees herself as someone who cares for her state and the resources thereof - that is, the tax payer's money - and would rather step down than allow those same dim-witted and hate-filled liberals to waste precious dollars on frivolous political attacks. Of course, I don't expect liberals to understand that kind of integrity, and that's why you claimed she was "rambling". She was focused, coherent and dignified, and unlike the clown in the white house, she spoke off the cuff, without notes, and no teleprompter. I'd like to see Obama give any kind of statement or speech without his precious little teleprompter to tell him what to say. God bless Sarah Palin, a true American and genuine stateswoman. Referring to herself in the third person, Palin continued: "Here's what she does. She drives through a full-court press, protecting the ball, keeping her head up because she needs to keep her eye on the basket and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can win, and that is what I'm doing, keeping our eye on the ball – those represent sound priorities – remember, they include energy independence and smaller government, national security and freedom, and I know when it's time to pass the ball for victory and I've given my reasons now, very candidly and truthfully, and my last day won't be for another few weeks so the transition will be very smooth.'' When someone speaks of themself in a third person, they're a ditz.
