I know this may be a little difficult to notice however if it is extremely warm to the touch, painful (if infected it is probaly going to be more than a little painful), and/or if you see any kind of smelly ooze come out (sometimes the ooze will be grean or white) then I think you should go to your docter. Though anything is possible, I would have to find it hard to believe that shaving would cause an infection in that area even if you were to cut it a little. But, you should still clean the area before and after shaving in order to decrease the chances of any infection to appear.
