What I always hate is the fact that people call the cops for fireworks......yes, I KNOW it's a problem, and I KNOW it's annoying, but catching people actually using them and then getting them prosecuted is a nightmare. Heck, most police departments can't keep up with the legit shootings, robberies, and other things that one man does to another to be chasing some idjit around with bottle rockets. And it doesn't help when everyone wants to be "anonymous".....to which I reply "get over it then, you go no victim, you got no crime!"
The local fireworks here took place about a mile and a half from my apt as the crow flies.....I was at work, but by the time I got home, my kittehs didn't seem to be too worse for the wear. But you can never tell what will startle them......they still freak out when the trash truck comes down the alley every Monday and Thursday.......but I've dropped pots and pans in the kitchen, and they don't even come out to see if Mom's ok......little ingrates!
Personally, the big water gun idea is one I'd go with. That or run a garden hose from the kitchen sink out to the balcony and REALLLLLLY let 'em have it! But then again, I'm evil that way!
