Now that Sarah has the good sense to fall on her sword and decrees she has a higher calling.. what do you think it will be?

I think she'll become a Penticostal minister.

Lucylastic -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 6:00:48 PM)

I think she is gonna run for pope
After she runs for pres.
If she thinks that her ability to upset people is going to ever go away, and leave her alone, she is severely delusional. There will always be questions about her stability, her ability, her honesty, her ethics oh theres just to much to question.
She is her own worst enemy until she sees that and does something to change it...for many she will continue to be a trainwreck you just cant stop watching. The pitbull in  lipstick degraded into a chihauhua in eyeliner, in less than a year.(no offense to chihauhah lovers)

Liberals nerds and envious spinsters

DarkSteven -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 6:32:34 PM)

She's going to make speeches and collect lotsa bucks for doing so.

She's killed off her career as an active politician but she'll be a big draw as a talking head.  Maybe a columnist.

If she wants to boost other candidates, she could be active at fundraisers.

Lucylastic -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 6:42:23 PM)

And some dumbasses opinion should mean what to me??

harddaddy4u -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 6:46:31 PM)

How do you figure she has "killed off her career"?

During last year's campaign, she would outdraw Obama 2 to 1, at the same venues, and she was only the VP candidate.

Believe me, nothing has changed as far as the grassroots and her supporters go. If she held a political rally tomorrow, or even made an appearance at one, the same people would show up in droves. Conservatives understand completely why she did what she did, and don't hold it against her in the least - it's only the left (wishful thinking?) that hopes her career is over.

It's anything but over, as you'll find out in 2012.

Right, I understand. Reading opinions from intelligent people might give you a headache.

Her resignation.  She basically stated that she didn't want to be a lame duck, so she quit 18 months early.  Stating that she was not a quitter while she was quitting also shows that she's disconnected from reality.

I don't think she's got a thick enough skin for a prolonged campaign, anyway.

The final point is - why SHOULD she stay in politics?  She's been bitten by the national stage and I don't think she wants to leave it.  If she becomes a commentator/columnist/speaker, she could earn more money, get less flak, and not be subject to the same oversight.  I expect that's her main driver.

From your postings so far, I have no trouble reading your posts, not a smidge of a headache, thankyou for caring.
Buh bye

You posted a comment about the link I gave, which was an opinion piece, not about something I'd written.

Like most liberals, you seem to have trouble focusing.

servantforuse -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 7:13:34 PM)

It is wishfull thinking for the liberals here to keep Sarah Palin in Alaska. A previous post was correct. Here in mostly democratic Milwaukee, Palin did indeed outdraw Obama 2 to 1 on 2 occasions. It happened a 3rd time in Green Bay.The dems are worried and they should be.

harddaddy4u -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 7:13:35 PM)

Why she left is no mystery

thornhappy -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 7:14:57 PM)

Excuse me, sir.  You seem to have left your manners at the door.  Shall I get them for you?

Seriously, dude, there are conservatives here that manage to be civil.  Liberals too for that matter.

You know, I think I've seen this somewhere before.  Very recently.

intenze -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 8:29:18 PM)

I think Sarah is going to become a talking head, like Steven said and a shoe 'ho, because she got hooked on all those fine designer duds she had to give back when the party was over.
hey why not? It worked for George Stephanopolis.

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: Palin's Plans (7/7/2009 10:48:28 PM)

She'll finally have more time to devote to shooting animals from airplanes and reading newspapers that she can't remember the names of.
