The poor sod. Those vats are dangerous. I've been knee deep in chocolate. It happened when I was working in industrial cleaning at the big MacVities factory in London and one of the things we had to do was to clean up chocolate spillages in the rooms containing the vats. Every so often people in the office would get the figures wrong, and order too much chocolate. Chocolate arrives in tankers in liquid form and whatever was in the tanker had to go into the vat, which in such cases overflowed. A chocolate spillage was one of the worst tasks on the job, because it's almost impossible to shovel liquid chocolate out and you have to wait for it to set, by which time it becomes rock solid. Trust me, when you're hacking away and taking out huge chunks of chocolate you soon go off the stuff.
