Yesterday, I got paperwork from my lawyer stating that my hearing is scheduled in 5 weeks. This is for my SSI due to my bipolar disorder (level 1). I was actually speechless for a few minutes, in some kind of shock. So I got my pre-hearing appt. set up and this will allow me to spend some shopping time with my UM before coming back home. Now to find a snack so I can quit worrying about my hair loss (thanks Depokate!) for a few minutes and waiting for the voices to make me create thoughtless snaring threads.

Jim was on SSDI. One thing- is to make sure your file is complete. Sometimes they do not have it all in the record. They also do not want the same paper twice. Texas has a low rate of approval. PA is a bit more generous. Each state has the stats as to the amount of cases that are won. SS will likely send you to their DR. At your hearing- the government will have an expert- that will claim there are x number of jobs in your geographic area, that you could do. It is routine. I hope it goes well for you.

This is the final review, where I actually see the judge. I already get rejections under my belt. The depression part of being bipolar is wearing me down lately, waiting a bloody year for this to happen. I have hidden my knives away so I will not indulge in unsafe cutting. I gave up playing darts because I tend to tap them into old scar tissue on my leg. LEts not mention my eating habits have gone downhill, barely eating anything. That is what my life has been like lately. I come to CM just so I know there is a world outside of my realm.

ShaharThorne hugs and i hope that this goes in your favor..i have depression,GAD,bipolar two, a few other things..i have been in my first year of ssdi, mine got aproved without all the court stuff..alot does have to weigh on the docs..i know its heavy on your mind...i worry already in three years are they gonna throw me out in the world agian..
